00:00 the- same old angels yesterday
00:07 even with Mike trout back still
00:08 doesn't seem to make a
00:09 difference your mark. Another
00:12 kind of poorly constructed
00:13 roster and most of that is
00:14 really on the pitching staff
00:15 more than anything else after
00:17 a tiny- you know a redeemers
00:19 had a nice run there in June
00:21 but- they don't have any good
00:23 pitchers. On a night in night
00:25 out basis and their bullpen is
00:26 terrible- it's I don't know if
00:28 they're going to be able to
00:30 get a good run. I mean look
00:31 Dave Spudder since trout went
00:33 down- the earlier this year and
00:35 they haven't been able to score
00:36 a whole bunch of runs at least
00:37 not the clip that you would
00:38 thought they got a little bit
00:39 of a bump at the trade deadline
00:40 when they got Richard and
00:41 cronk from Colorado- that that
00:43 sort of elevated them a little
00:44 bit but again that was. Kind of
00:46 speaks to the front office
00:47 issues. You needed pitching not
00:51 hitting and you went out the
00:52 deadline and what you do.
00:54 Acquired two bats and you got
00:55 absolutely nobody. Worthwhile
00:58 and- I mean look at Lucas
00:59 Giolito. He was there attempted
01:01 trying to get better he's been
01:03 bad. Since he has come over
01:05 from Chicago because guess what
01:06 he was bad. In Chicago so I'm
01:09 not sure what you expected
01:10 will Lucas Giolito joining this
01:12 rotation. It's another front
01:14 office that really can't get
01:15 out of their own way at this
01:16 point in time. And you're
01:17 seeing the results bear that
01:18 out on the field. You'll see
01:20 that bottom line gets impacted
01:21 because as we know sure Tony is
01:23 going to be a free agent he
01:24 will probably go to the highest
01:26 bidder but also maybe staying
01:27 in the top ten. And he might
01:28 even end up being a Los Angeles
01:30 Dodger. Let me ask you this
01:31 question about the angels we
01:32 know it's not going to turn out
01:33 in their favor they're not
01:34 going to make the playoffs. Two
01:36 of the three best players maybe
01:37 in baseball reside on your team
01:38 and you just can't put it
01:40 together. Should they also look
01:42 in the off season if a viable
01:43 trade there is for Mike trout
01:45 bringing the back prospects.
01:46 Losing show a tiny and Mike
01:48 trout one all season. And they
01:49 might actually be a better
01:51 baseball team I could actually
01:52 think that but it might happen.
01:54 Well Donny it's funny you say
01:56 that because prior to the trade
01:57 I remember the guys screaming.
01:59 You don't trade or Tony you
02:01 trade Mike trout. That was the
02:03 guy they should have been
02:04 shopping the problem is he's
02:06 got a full on no trade clause.
02:08 So he's not as easy to move as
02:10 a tiny would have been- and
02:13 look. You're not wrong with the
02:15 premise because at this point
02:17 in time if you have to keep one
02:18 of the two. You keep or Tony
02:20 obviously that's not a
02:21 disrespect to my truck look.
02:23 Mike trout is not played a
02:24 hundred and forty games in the
02:26 league. Since twenty seventeen.
02:29 The guy is more hurt than he is
02:31 on the field as of late. So I
02:34 don't know what to tell you
02:35 it's always better to get rid of
02:36 a guy you're early than a year
02:38 too late. If you could call up
02:40 that team that sits on the you
02:41 know. Western side of the
02:43 Delaware River there in eastern
02:45 Pennsylvania where Mike trout
02:47 grew up and see if the Phillies
02:49 would want to take him for a
02:50 package because they're one of
02:51 the teams that could afford that
02:52 contract. Maybe he's amenable to
02:55 being able to do it in the
02:56 offseason. And give the Phillies
02:58 some more riches whether you
02:59 take. Kyle Schwarber and his
03:01 thirty three home runs and
03:02 thirty six singles back and his
03:04 Buck eighty average or whatever
03:05 it may be. But you put together
03:07 some sort of package you take
03:09 some bad contracts on. To get a
03:11 haul of prospects along. With
03:13 getting rid of Mike trout. That
03:15 may be the best scenario for
03:16 them but I still think. If they
03:18 can keep Ohtani and trade
03:20 trout they're probably better
03:21 off in a rebuild process.
