00:02 Speaking of Notre Dame, they start 2023 across the pond in Dublin.
00:08 It's the Dublin debut for the Irish and the Naval Academy.
00:12 The midshipmen and the fighting Irish facing off in our first game of
00:16 the 2023 college football season on Saturday afternoon.
00:19 Navy, a three, or excuse me, Notre Dame,
00:22 a three touchdown favorite laying 20 and a half against the midshipmen.
00:27 But Mark Zinno, although Ken Niumatalolo is no longer there for Navy,
00:32 Brian Newberry, the new head coach, expects to continue the base offense that is known
00:37 as the triple option, which makes it hard for teams to cover multiple
00:42 score spreads in their favor against service academies.
00:47 Zinno, you're an army guy, but can Navy keep this game more competitive than that
00:51 20 and a half point spread might indicate?
00:54 >> Well, until they play each other, I'll root for all the service academies,

01:01 I mean, the weather in Dublin, from what I understand,
01:03 is not supposed to be great.
01:05 If you're getting wind and rain, which is what, from what I understand,
01:09 having never been to Ireland, is sort of a par for the course kind of weather pattern.

01:17 are gonna be scored in general in this game, even if you played it in ideal
01:20 circumstances.
01:21 Notre Dame's in a major state of flux right now.
01:23 They have a new quarterback.
01:24 I don't know what Marcus Freeman really is as a head coach yet.
01:29 I thought we had a couple of stumbles earlier last year, but
01:32 then recovered to make Notre Dame a little bit better.
01:34 Could he repeat some of those stumbles early on?
01:38 I would probably lean on Navy with the points, but I do like the under a lot in
01:41 this spot, whereas in general, again, I don't think a ton of points are gonna be
01:45 scored.
