00:00 One of the area's hardest hit by Tropical Storm Hillary was Ridgecrest, and now they're working to transform despair into hope.
00:07 Mayor Eric Bruin announced Wednesday the city has received emergency supplies to help families who were impacted by the storm.
00:13 We've just received a pallet, eight pallets in fact, of much needed supplies for our local churches and individuals.
00:20 As we start to clean up from this hundred year event, I can't express enough our deep thanks as a community to these organizations for bringing these resources to Ridgecrest.
00:28 Behind us you'll see many of the volunteers from many of our local churches putting together pieces.
00:34 And if you need something, now's the time to ask. Salvation Army, our churches, Lighthouse, anywhere that you have a need, please reach out and let us know.
00:42 We're here to serve you.
00:43 They received donations on the part of CityServe, State Senator Shannon Grove, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, KSI, and Continental Labor and Staffing.
00:53 The Lighthouse Church in Ridgecrest will be taking on the task of delivering these supplies to homes in the area.
