Difference between both invoices:
Draft Invoice = Preliminary Outline of the Sale only for your Records.
Proforma Invoice = Invoice of Sale, in Advance before Shipment of Goods/Services.
A Draft Invoice as a Sale ‘in progress’, whereas a Proforma invoice is a Sale ‘waiting to be finalized’.

Essentially, they’re created at different stages of the Sale Process.
