Transcript
00:00 This is George Priestman from Liverpool World. Everton fell to another disappointing 1-0 defeat at home, this time to Wolves to make it three games without a win at the start of the Premier League campaign.
00:08 The most frustrating part for Everton fans will be the plenty of missed opportunities that they passed up, which is very similar to the opening game of the season against Fulham where they also lost 1-0.
00:15 Everton had a great opportunity in the 14th minute as Arnaut Danjoumi was put clean through by Amundou Anana, only for the Villareal loanee to fire straight at Jose Zahra, who tipped the shave onto the post.
00:24 Everton played really well in the first half and created quite a few chances, while Wolves offered very little in that opening 45 minutes.
00:29 Wolves definitely grins the game in the second half and made it difficult for Everton, but Duakore missed an absolutely golden opportunity as his header was somehow miraculously saved by Jose Zahra in the second half, which was probably Everton's best chance of the game.
00:40 There were then two offside goals, the first from Wolves as Fabio Silva's goal was ruled out for offside before Duakore finished neatly with 10 minutes to go, but his goal was also ruled out via VAR decision.
00:50 Heartbreaking the 87th minute for Everton as 6ft7 substitute Sasa Khalidic gave Wolves the lead with three minutes left in the game.
00:57 Everton will definitely rue this game, as they did the Fulham game as well, with plenty of chances passed them by.
01:01 Wolves didn't create that much, but they took their chance when they needed to, and it leaves Everton rock bottom of the Premier League table.
01:06 Everton fans will no doubt be worried after three games of this sport. No points, no goals, and there's a sense that this could go on to be another long season for the Toffees.
