00:00 The Browns lost 33-32 to the Chiefs in their final preseason game and despite the loss,
00:05 there were a lot of positive takeaways from the first team reps in the first half.
00:10 Not all of the starters had a chance to play, so it's not an exact match to who will be
00:14 out there on the field week one against the Bengals.
00:17 For example, Nick Chubb did not start in this game and he would have obviously had a huge
00:22 impact on the offense.
00:24 The running back that did start in his place, Jordan Wilkins, really struggled to hold on
00:28 to the ball.
00:29 In this game, Deshaun Watson was 5 of 10 for 92 yards and 1 touchdown.
00:33 Although this isn't some spectacular stat line, there were some really big plays in
00:37 this game that show what the peak of this offense could look like.
00:41 On the Browns' 80-yard touchdown drive, he was able to extend a play with his legs and
00:45 make a beautiful 53-yard pass to Omari Cooper.
00:49 The drive ended with a great throw to David Njoku in the end zone for a touchdown.
00:54 There were some really high highs in this game and the priority now is how to get more
00:59 of these drives to happen on a consistent basis.
01:02 Juan Thornhill was another standout from the starters in this game and picked off Chiefs
01:06 backup quarterback Shane Buchel and ran it back 34 yards for a touchdown.
01:12 He was really excited about making a big play like this against his former team.
01:17 It wasn't just the interception that had everyone excited about the Browns' new safety.
01:21 He was really flying around on the field and ended up having three total tackles in the
01:26 couple of drives that he was out there for.
01:28 And lastly, the Browns' new look defensive line really stood out in this game.
01:32 The defensive front without Miles Garrett played fantastic and they really dominated
01:37 the line of scrimmage, which allowed the rest of the defense to play much more freely.
01:42 There are obviously some things that still need to be cleaned up, but it was pretty clear
01:45 that the talent on the defense was able to shine under Jim Schwartz.
