00:00 >> First question, did you decide to get rid of something there?
00:03 >> [LAUGH] >> What went behind that thought?
00:06 >> I don't know what you're talking about.
00:07 >> [LAUGH] >> I mean, I have something to change it
00:10 up, I mean, I don't wanna be kind of known as the mustache guy.
00:13 >> [LAUGH] >> But, I don't know.
00:18 I've always kind of been a quick change guy, so we'll see.
00:21 >> Jack, how has Falcone, now that it's over, you're in game week,
00:26 how do you feel like, not just you, but this offense has progressed and
00:30 come together?
00:32 >> Yeah, I think we've made some strides just as we get more reps as a team and
00:36 as a unit together.
00:37 And just iron out the little details, obviously, running the plays and
00:42 guys figuring out, hey, this is what I need to do on this play.
00:45 And if I get this look and all that good stuff,
00:48 just getting all the good reps has been great for us this camp.
00:51 >> Jack, some of the players and coaches have talked about how your
00:54 comfortability in this offense has kind of helped them get more and
00:57 more comfortable.
00:58 Do you feel that kind of radiate off you in getting guys ready for week one?
01:02 >> Yeah, I think so, just being able to talk to my teammates and
01:07 have them ask me questions and me being able to give them a firm answer where
01:11 there's kind of no gray area.
01:12 And me being able to communicate with them when maybe their coaches,
01:19 coaching a position group and we're in between reps or something,
01:23 they can ask me a quick question.
01:24 So I think, yeah, it has been good for quarterbacks, wide receivers especially.
01:29 >> Jack, how would you describe this receiver group between Jamari, Kevin, and
01:35 the rest of them?
01:36 What do you think really jumps out about them?
01:39 >> Yeah, they have the potential to make a big play.
01:42 I mean, no matter what, if you're throwing the ball quick and make a guy miss, or
01:46 as well as catching the deep ball downfield.
01:49 So I think we got guys that are talented and can make explosive plays for us.
01:55 >> Yeah, Coach Brahms kind of said a couple times that he tells you, hey,
02:01 trust your other teammates.
02:02 You don't have to feel like you have to do at all or force anything in there.
02:06 Just how important is that now that you're getting ready to go up to another
02:09 opponent to start the season?
02:12 >> Yeah, obviously that's a huge thing, just being able to rely on my teammates to
02:16 make plays and trust them and knowing that.
02:18 Just give them a chance to go catch the ball, especially at wide out,
02:23 just hey, those guys are talented.
02:25 So put it in a spot where they at least got a chance to go make a play for us and
02:29 not having to make a perfect throw and then you end up missing it.
02:32 >> Jack, back here.
02:35 You'll be facing your third different play in your third different conference.
02:41 What about Big Ten, you know, seeing that,
02:48 what kind of things do you see about the ACC that you anticipate going against
02:53 defenses?
02:53 >> Yeah, obviously each conference I feel like has a little bit of a different style.
02:59 Big Ten really big on the run defense and
03:03 they're more kind of we're gonna run our stuff and we're gonna run it well.
03:07 Pac-12 had some quicker guys out there and they did some different things.
03:13 But as far as the ACC stuff, I've only right now my focus on Georgia Tech, so
03:19 I haven't necessarily sat down and watched every team in the ACC on defense yet.
03:23 I'm kind of saving that for when we play them so it's fresh in my mind.
03:27 But just Georgia Tech's defense, they're a solid group.
03:31 They do what they do well and they mix it up a good amount as well.
03:36 >> Jack, you've played for Jeff before, so
03:39 it's obvious that you have trust with him.
03:41 How important to you is having trust within your head coach?
03:44 >> Yeah, I think it's important for the quarterback just to trust the head coach
03:50 and call the plays and trust that he's gonna put us in a good position to win
03:54 the game and take the time to be upstairs and
03:58 study the opponent and come up with good schemes for us.
04:03 >> Yeah, some schools haven't named a quarterback yet,
04:06 some waited till last week and then when Jeff identified you a long time ago,
04:10 he's been very outspoken about how much trust he has in you and
04:13 how he wants you to have a big year.
04:15 What does that do for you as the season begins?
04:18 >> Yeah, I think that's big for me, just knowing that coach has the confidence in
04:22 me to get the job done and lead this university to where we wanna go.
04:26 So I think that's, when you're playing confident,
04:30 you always feel a little bit better out there on the field.
04:31 So just having that and then being able to be around the guys and
04:35 be able to play that role of the starter with other guys in the offense.
04:41 >> Counselor, Jack?
04:42 >> Okay.
04:43 >> All right, I'm gonna relax and slow this down.
04:48 >> Jack, obviously the goal for everybody's, well, most people,
04:50 most college football players is to get to the NFL.
04:52 But to start the season in an NFL stadium, how does that just add to the excitement
04:56 of that first game and how do you kinda control your emotions in that moment?
05:01 >> Yeah, I think, I haven't thought about it too much.
05:04 Obviously, it's cool to be able to play in the Falcons stadium.
05:07 It's gonna be a good atmosphere for us, but I haven't really,
05:11 I don't try to look too much into the venue we're playing at.
05:16 I've played in some cool places, but ultimately I'm just trying to go out there
05:20 and do my job and just lead the guys and make throws for us to win the game.
05:25 >> All right.
