UW coach Kalen DeBoer praised the play of cornerback Davon Banks.
Transcript
00:00 >> Devon Banks, I thought he had a great game today.
00:02 Tell us what you saw with Devon.
00:04 >> Yeah, Devon just twitchy, triggering, playing fast.
00:08 I love the attitude, he's got that kind of that grit about him.
00:13 So I thought it was a really big step for Devon,
00:15 maybe one of the better games he's played since I've seen him here.
00:19 >> Lots made about the receivers, but how valuable is someone like Jack Westover?
00:23 >> Yeah, he had a couple of nice plays in the red zone there.
00:30 The touchdown and then the ball where he kind of comes back across the formation.
00:35 So he is, I always feel like, and
00:39 we have a lot of routes where you do control the middle.
00:41 J Mac had one early where he's kind of coming across the middle.
00:44 But I think those tight ends are just so
00:46 important to be able to control the middle of the field.
00:48 Control the vertical seams and he has the ability to run.
00:51 When you try to take him down and tackle him, you're gonna feel it as well as
00:57 a tackler just because he's so strong and physical.
00:59 So just solid, consistent, love, understand his role as a pass protector and
01:05 his importance there too, just a great all around team player.
