00:00 With week one just around the corner, Bengals-Browns is one of the most highly anticipated matchups
00:05 to kick off this season.
00:07 In the past few seasons, the Browns have had a lot of success against this organization,
00:11 winning eight out of the last ten times these teams have matched up.
00:15 There are a lot of questions going into this game, the biggest questions though being about
00:19 both of the quarterbacks.
00:22 Deshaun Watson will be playing his first full season since 2020, and Joe Burrow is just
00:27 returning from a calf injury that had him sidelined for several weeks this summer.
00:32 It's a massive question how both of these quarterbacks are going to look this week.
00:37 For the Browns, it will be really important to see how the pass catchers look with Deshaun
00:40 Watson.
00:41 They still have their star running back in Nick Chubb, and they still have the components
00:45 that make up their top five offensive line in the league.
00:49 But everyone will be looking to see how Cooper, Njoku, Moore, and the rest of the pass catchers
00:55 find chemistry with Deshaun Watson and create the explosive offense that the Browns have
01:00 been searching for.
01:02 Stefanski has really evolved this offensive scheme in the preseason, and the hope is that
01:07 this will continue throughout the regular season and things will really start to open
01:11 up.
01:12 Something I'm most interested in seeing this game is the Browns' defense.
01:15 There were a lot of moves made this offseason in the defensive front, the secondary, and
01:21 in the defensive coaching staff.
01:23 This will be the first real chance that Browns fans have to see it all come together.
01:28 Early on in 2022, there were a lot of miscommunications in the Browns' secondary.
01:32 So this week, I'm really looking to see, one, if Jim Schwartz's scheme is translating for
01:37 these guys, and two, if adding Juan Thornhill and Rodney McLeod's talent and leadership
01:43 is really helping to clean up some of the miscommunications from the past.
01:48 On the defensive line, I'll be looking to see how Miles, Zavarrius, and Okoronko are
01:52 able to get pressure on Joe Burrow.
01:55 This new look defensive line obviously has a ton of star power, but with the Bengals
01:59 adding Orlando Brown Jr. to their offensive line, I'm really interested to see how these
02:03 two groups will stack up against each other.
02:06 In my opinion, the Browns' defensive line has a lot more talent than the Bengals' offensive
02:10 line, and this could translate into some turnovers and sacks come Sunday.
02:16 Every single AFC North matchup means a lot, so both teams are going to come ready to fight
02:21 this week.
