New Postmistress Kirti Patel joins Mike Corrigan chair of Bramham cum Oglethorpe Parish Council to officially re- open Bramham Post Office on Front Street in the village.

00:21 It's the grand opening, we're here to celebrate the Post Office reopening, including the convenience store as well along with it.

00:39 And how is the community taken to the idea of reopening the Post Office?
00:45 Because it's been closed for quite a while and we just reopened it and there is no other shop or post office nearby four miles away.
00:53 So people are struggling to use the Post Office, so they are pleased with the Post Office now it's been opened.
01:00 And what sort of welcome have they given to you personally?
01:03 Well they are pleased because they don't have to drive four miles away for little stuff if they want the service from the Post Office or anything from the shop, they have to drive four miles away.
01:14 But now as we open they can get it from here.
01:17 And I guess like Bramham is a small village, we've done this for the community and the people within the community and especially the elderly.
01:34 It's a service we are providing, it's taken a long time to get us to where we are today and we've done this with the support of the local councillor and the community.
01:50 From day one they are very supportive and very helpful to us.
01:55 And we hope that continues.
