00:00 "There are trucker teams, the Valenzuela Police, who are targeting the armed motorist who is in the midst of a new viral road rage incident."
00:09 But more than being on the streets, the public has the authority to report these cases to the court.
00:19 Watch June Veneration.
00:25 August 19 in Barangay Ponturin, Valenzuela. A driver of a SUV was driving past a dashcam.
00:32 He fired a gun and there was a person who was not seen on camera.
00:37 When he was about to return to the SUV, a taxi driver followed him.
00:42 They talked for a while until the driver was pushed by the SUV driver.
00:46 Before the push, the SUV was seen on the CCTV of the barangay, which was moving but stopped because of the truck in front.
00:54 The SUV did not cross the lane because of the taxi.
00:58 He was not seen on the video but the two cars collided and the SUV driver fired a gun.
01:06 According to the PNP investigation, the accident was caused by a collision between the driver of the SUV and the taxi driver.
01:14 The taxi driver talked to the Fortuner and he got angry and he fired a gun.
01:23 He went to the vehicle, returned and fired a gun.
01:28 The Valenzuela City Police formed a tracker team to investigate and find the driver who fired the gun.
01:34 I dispatched four teams for that so that we can take action quickly.
01:38 Attorney Raymond Fortune was the one who posted the video. He was also the one who posted the first road rage incident in Quezon City
01:45 where the driver was shot by the former police officer Wilfredo Gonzales.
01:51 Gonzales' driver's license was cancelled by the LTO for two years.
01:56 There is no reaction about this incident.
01:59 The road fights did not change but some road rage incidents were attributed to murder.
02:07 Some of the high profile cases are the shooting of a businessman, Rolito Go,
02:12 to a student, Aldon Maguan, in July 1991 in San Juan.
02:16 The shooting of Inocencio Gonzales inside the cemetery in Marikina in 1998
02:21 where the driver of the OFW, Feliber Andres, was killed.
02:25 He was the wife of his former driver.
02:28 And the shooting of Jason Idler in 2009 to Renato Ibarre Jr.,
02:33 the son of the former President and Chief of Staff.
02:37 It creates a very chilling effect that actually these things are not isolated incidents.
02:41 It's possible that there are other incidents that unfortunately, there is no video.
02:47 The Automobile Association of the Philippines repeatedly reminded the public that
02:51 it's very cold to be a rally driver when you're in Manibela.
02:54 We are talking about a diplomatic issue. You should give us the information so we can avoid
03:00 the road fights that can lead to bad results.
03:04 But for Atty. Fortun, the public's cooperation is important to investigate
03:09 and these cases are small in court.
03:12 What happened in Valenzuela, even though there are residents who are afraid,
03:15 especially those who are still awake at that time.
03:18 I was just like, I was just losing. I was afraid. I was like, I was angry.
03:27 No one complained or complained to the barangay, let alone the police.
03:31 Let's help our police. We are afraid that the police are not helping us.
03:36 Well, the truth is also, the police's job is also hard,
03:39 especially if no one wants to investigate. That's why the cases are being dismissed.
03:45 Authorities are appealing to the public to report to them any information.
