00:18 We got schemes, we got plans.

00:34 I hope you're good.

00:38 thank you.
00:39 - Yes.
00:40 - You are how this is possible.
00:41 All the prepping, all the erring, all the doing,
00:43 all the editing, we appreciate you.
00:45 As well as the fine folks over at the Patreon,
00:47 who are the sexiest of all the Rejects,
00:49 no disrespect to the non-patrons.

00:55 beginning to end, including our resting watches and faces.
00:59 So if you want to watch us watch in its entirety,
01:02 head on over to Patreon and become a patron.
01:04 Without further ado, it is time to dive into our adventures
01:07 with Superman in three, two, one.
01:10 (dramatic music)
01:13 (laughing)
01:19 - The grin.
01:20 - Oh, that's so good.
01:21 Her disgruntled face.
01:22 - Today's the day.
01:24 - It's today.
01:26 - Got to wake you up every morning
01:27 with an update on how close we are to our camping/Bigfoot
01:30 finding expedition, but it's squatching time.
01:33 - Squatching time.
01:34 - Oh, I'm gonna use that.
01:35 - This is already my favorite episode.
01:37 - Squatching.
01:38 - Flamebird response video.
01:40 - On the remains of Sub Diego on the Pacific sea floor
01:43 proves that Atlantis is real.
01:46 - But I'm here to tell you, nah.
01:49 - Nah.
01:50 - This to every Flamebird video ever.
01:52 Nah, nah.
01:54 Oh yeah, that's a nah.
01:56 - You've got a YouTube rival.
01:58 - He's got a troll.
01:59 - Dude.
02:00 - But also if that's his whole con,
02:01 this is just saying nah, I think we've seen them all.
02:02 So are they gonna get views?
02:03 I don't know if that's, is that relevant?
02:04 - I don't know, it'll probably turn into one of those things
02:06 where this guy starts taking Jimmy's videos,
02:09 using them, getting more views than Jimmy does,
02:12 thus proving that the system is problematic.
02:15 - Negativity always prevails, but Superman is about
02:18 positivity, don't let anybody convince you otherwise.
02:20 - Going for our squatching trip?
02:21 - No, I mean that too, but I'm going to tell Lois
02:25 that I like her.
02:26 - Yeah, buddy, I think she's picked up on that.
02:29 (laughing)
02:30 You know, she's been staring at me nonstop
02:32 for the past day and--
02:33 - Speaking of things that are today,
02:35 the camping trip to find Bigfoot.
02:37 - I like this shot.
02:38 - Meet me at the bus stop at 5 p.m.
02:39 - Yeah, that train's gonna crash.
02:40 - Yeah, I'm gonna be late, cover me until I get in, thanks.
02:43 - Yeah, and the split screen has multiple shots in it.
02:45 - Yeah, it was clever.
02:46 - Giving you credit.
02:48 - Would you be able to corroborate Clark's whereabouts?
02:50 On August 3rd, he said he was going to get a bagel,
02:52 but he was gone for 20 minutes,
02:54 and then he came back without a bagel.
02:56 - How have you noticed how often he steps out for bagel?
02:59 - Does no one care about Squatching Day?
03:02 - There's this thing I think might be true,
03:04 but it's crazy, but I'm 99% sure I'm right,
03:06 but before I do anything, I need to be 100% sure.
03:10 I'm running a little late, can you cover for me?
03:13 - Remember to meet me at the bus stop at 5 p.m.
03:15 - She's 100% sure that the Squatch is real.
03:19 - That's what she's talking about.
03:20 - That's what she's definitely talking about, the Squatch.
03:20 - You're gonna be the best--
03:21 (screaming)
03:23 - The split screen turning into a wall, clever.
03:25 - Yeah.
03:26 - The Daily Planet Star Reporter.
03:28 - Steve, I know who you are.
03:30 - Please do not.
03:30 - Big bad!
03:31 - They really are Team Rocket.
03:33 - They really are.
03:34 - I asked Perry for a photographer for a special assignment
03:37 and you're it!
03:39 - Damn it, Perry!
03:41 - Perry ducks out.
03:42 It's Squatch Day, let him Squatch.
03:44 - All I want is a Sasquatch.
03:46 - Crush the alarms, grab the gold, and I'll hit the safe.
03:48 Anyone gives you trouble?
03:50 - Make it double?
03:51 - Me, yes, that's right.
03:55 (grunting)
03:57 - Why is all the tech so janky?
03:59 - Don't buy second hand, not tech.
04:01 - What?
04:02 - Cool choker though.
04:06 - Wait!
04:07 - Ooh.
04:08 (screaming)
04:08 - Help me, help me!
04:11 - Not a great guy.
04:11 These thieves, no honor amongst them.
04:13 - Livewire stole this tech and unleashed it onto our city,
04:16 but someone made these weapons
04:18 and there's something weirdly familiar about the tech.
04:21 One of the planet's old dispatch scanners.
04:23 - Whoa.
04:24 - Since the tech weapons have shown up,
04:25 they've nearly destroyed part of the city.
04:27 So if we listen to the scanner.
04:29 - We'll hear any reports of the weapons
04:31 and can investigate.
04:32 - This is the story I want to pursue.
04:34 - Pretty good.
04:35 - Yeah.
04:36 - Let's ask Superman about them.
04:38 Me, you, and Superman in a room together at the same time.
04:43 - She hasn't learned nuance as a reporter yet.
04:49 - This is gonna be great.
04:50 You're the best journalist I know.
04:51 I value your input and this really matters to me.
04:55 People have been hurt by these weapons.
04:56 You've almost been hurt by them
04:57 and I won't let that happen again because I-
04:59 - Hello, I am Superman.
05:02 - I care about you and I-
05:03 - Ooh.
05:04 - Say it, Clark.
05:05 - The light.
05:06 - I wanted to ask.
05:07 - All units, reports of a runaway bus on Main Street.
05:09 - I forgot all about my bagel in the kitchen.
05:11 (blows raspberry)
05:13 - Really does love his bagels.
05:14 What a cute quote.
05:16 - All units, disregard.
05:18 Superman stopped the bus.
05:20 - Where were we?
05:21 - All units, there's a mugging on 47th.
05:24 - Cream cheese.
05:24 (laughs)
05:26 - Superman has it under control.
05:28 - This is very funny.
05:29 - Let's sit up here and get to work.
05:33 - This day could not get any worse.
05:35 When am I shooting?
05:36 - Coverage of the stadium, a practice.
05:38 - Oh no, no, no, you're filming me.
05:40 - Did he just put it right up to his face?
05:42 - Did, I don't know how good a photographer
05:44 with a camera he is.
05:45 'Cause-
05:46 - Where's the viewfinder?
05:47 - We're psychic starfish in Germany.
05:49 - Flamebird says it's all real, but I say.
05:52 (yells)
05:54 - Steve is not.
05:55 - No, Steve. - Oh, that's so good.
05:57 How did we not put that together?
05:59 It was right there.
06:00 - Yeah, now Jimmy has his own secret identity.
06:01 - Oh, it's perfect. - This is a perfect cover.
06:03 - Disregard backup request.
06:05 - Okay, now Lois thinks she can keep up with Superman.
06:07 I'm doubting this.
06:09 Come on.
06:10 - Look at how many cats he's already saved.
06:12 - That's Superman.
06:13 - You can't be here.
06:14 There's a robbery in progress.
06:15 - Heard about the break-in over the scanner.
06:18 - Because my good friend is working on a story
06:21 about the tech.
06:22 (laughs)
06:25 You know Clark Kent, don't you?
06:27 - Oh, that young man who works with you and Mr. Olsen?
06:29 He's quiet, but thoughtful, upstanding.
06:32 I like him.
06:33 (laughs)
06:35 - I think he's good for you.
06:36 - Till Clark can show up and ask you questions himself.
06:41 - Oh my.
06:42 - I'm not letting you.
06:43 (laughs)
06:45 - Superman, he's already here.
06:47 - Let him in, Ron.
06:48 - Damn it.
06:49 Oh my.
06:51 (glass shattering)
06:54 (laughs)
06:56 (screams)
06:59 - This must have happened in a comic,
07:07 but it is kind of a neat idea.
07:08 Cuff to somebody.
07:09 - Yeah, it's cute.
07:10 - Check the vent.
07:14 - Yes.
07:16 - I'm sorry, Superman.
07:18 Please don't kidnap me like the others.
07:20 - What?
07:21 - You're, nah?
07:22 You're the guy who's been trolling me?
07:24 - Wait, you're Flameberg?
07:26 - He's not good at secret identities.
07:28 - Nope.
07:29 - You dragged me out here to blow off work
07:31 for your video stream?
07:32 Does Mr. White know about this?
07:34 - Like you kids do what Perry tells you.
07:36 - I ain't fair.
07:38 - Just me and my protege.
07:40 Two lone wolves making videos.
07:42 (laughs)
07:43 - The wolf sound effect.
07:45 - Offside.
07:46 - What you meant about kidnapping,
07:48 or I let my flying friend here cut loose.
07:51 - That's not happening.
07:52 - Then I'll cut loose.
07:54 - Miss Lane, please don't threaten people, it's wrong.
07:56 (laughs)
07:58 - We were knocking over the pawn shop on 25th,
08:03 and then there was this blur and half my crew was gone.
08:06 - Whoa.
08:08 - But I'm not going down easy.
08:09 - God damn it.
08:12 Bought the time.
08:14 (explosion)
08:16 - Flame hop away.
08:17 - First we have to go back to the Daily Planet.
08:20 Two targets headed in different directions.
08:23 What's the priority?
08:24 - Superman can wait, get our tech back.
08:26 - Yes, Raiden, go.
08:27 (laughs)
08:28 - So Metal Gear.
08:30 - So Metal Gear, this whole show.
08:32 - I'm not letting you go.
08:33 (laughs)
08:34 - I'm sorry, Lucas, but I can't let you get hurt.
08:36 - Superman, Superman!
08:38 Clark!
08:40 - Oh, he must have heard that.
08:43 - He didn't get his superhero hat.
08:44 - Oh yeah, there's no way he--
08:45 - He must have, though.
08:46 - I'm not letting you take me!
08:48 I'm not taking anyone, I just wanna help.
08:53 (laughs)
08:55 - Whoa.
08:56 Blue flame.
08:58 - Whoa, concussive?
09:00 - Nope, fire tornado.
09:01 - On the final target and Nemesis Omega.
09:04 - Suit is operating at optimal efficiency.
09:06 Integrating the reclaimed tech has made it stronger.
09:08 - Who is the other one?
09:09 - Permission granted.
09:11 - Requesting support.
09:12 - Otacon.
09:13 - I wonder if it's Lois' dad?
09:15 - Is it Sam Lane?
09:16 - Maybe?
09:17 - He's in the military.
09:18 - Got a military looking hat on?
09:19 - Yeah.
09:20 Oof!
09:21 Golly.
09:25 It's gotta be where the ice breath comes in.
09:27 - Oh.
09:27 - Intergang's freeze ray, but how?
09:29 - Whoa.
09:32 - Who are you?
09:34 - We're the good guys.
09:36 - Sure.
09:37 - Agent Wilson, contain it.
09:39 - Agent Wilson.
09:40 - Ah!
09:41 - Good old Slade Wilson in anime.
09:43 - Slade.
09:44 - Well, that means he's not Deathstroke.
09:48 - Power fluctuations are wildly off spec.
09:51 The enemy is weaker than anticipated.
09:53 - This technology, these weapons, they're yours.
09:56 - Ooh.
09:57 - You're the ones kidnapping people.
09:59 - Oof.
09:59 - He's got a super brain too.
10:01 - Whose voice is that?
10:05 - Drop the act, Superman.
10:07 There's no one here to swallow your lies.
10:11 - You.
10:12 - Ooh.
10:13 - I'm the one keeping the earth safe.
10:15 Hit him.
10:19 - Ha!
10:20 - Jeez.
10:20 - I don't understand.
10:22 - Again.
10:22 - No, I didn't.
10:23 - Aw!
10:24 - No.
10:27 - Again.
10:27 - Supes, what's going on?
10:30 Supes?
10:31 Supes!
10:31 - Yeah!
10:35 - Woof.
10:37 (dramatic music)
10:40 - Woof.
10:42 - Ooh.
10:47 - Laser swords.
10:49 - Yeah, dude.
10:53 - Oh, Bloodhaven.
10:54 - Bloodhaven.
10:54 - Got the roots of Bloodhaven.
10:57 - Dude.
10:57 All of, like, he's--
11:00 - Wilson, take the shot.
11:01 - No, not if it endangers civilians.
11:03 - Remember why we're doing this.
11:05 - Yeah, dude.
11:06 - Will they thank you for sparing a handful now?
11:08 Wilson.
11:09 - Mandiwalla, it's cold.
11:10 - Operation Mandi, or is it mine?
11:12 - Mandiwalla.
11:13 - Be seeing you, Superman.
11:16 - Be seeing you in your righteous helping people ass.
11:21 - I was so worried.
11:23 You're hurt.
11:24 - Oh, that's from shaving.
11:26 - Bagel.
11:29 - Don't lie to me again.
11:31 I've spent all this time worrying about you, and--
11:35 - Oh, you're gonna drop.
11:36 - This is how you're gonna play it?
11:38 - Play what?
11:39 - Fine.
11:40 We'll do this the hard way.
11:44 - You will believe a man can lie.
11:46 - Lois!
11:47 - Oh.
11:51 - You hated Superman.
11:53 You said he was a liar,
11:54 and you were gonna find and publish all of his secrets.
11:57 My secrets.
11:58 - I had no idea it was you until after the gala.
12:01 How could you think that?
12:03 - You jumped off a roof.
12:04 (laughing)
12:06 - I don't know what we were going to be,
12:08 but that's all over now.
12:10 - Oh.
12:10 - Aw.
12:13 - It's Lois!
12:14 Leave a message or text if you've got a tip on Superman.
12:16 - Four hours and no squatching.
12:18 - Tell hello, you've reached Clark Kent.
12:21 Leave a message after the--
12:23 - What a perfect voicemail.
12:24 - Who needs them anyway?
12:27 - It's okay, you'll find the Squatch, Jim.
12:29 - No one's gonna believe you, but you'll find him.
12:31 - I will.
12:32 (dramatic music)
12:34 (screaming)
12:35 - Whoa.
12:36 - Gorilla Grodd?
12:37 - Yeah, I assume.
12:38 Unless there's just gorillas in the forest of Metropolis.
12:41 - Oh boy.
12:42 Oh, Jim.
12:43 Golly.
12:46 - That was intense.
12:46 A lot happened that episode.
12:48 Big episode.
12:49 - Are we about to get a post-credits scene right now?
12:51 - Oh, it's not zooming ahead.
12:52 - They're not whisking us away.
12:54 - Oh, we're about to find out
12:55 who that mysterious military man is.
12:57 - I don't know.
12:58 It was very fun, though.
12:59 - That was a good episode, I liked that a lot.
13:01 - I like the way this is all developing and moving.
13:03 - Oh, oh, no.
13:06 It held just for the sadness of the Polaroid.
13:09 - All right, gang, get ready for the next one.
13:11 - Dark, here we are.
13:12 - I'm so sorry for standing you up,
13:14 which was completely Clark's fault.
13:16 I'm on my way to the campsite.
13:17 I'll see you there.
13:18 - Oh good, we're still Squatchin'.
13:20 - I flew to the campground, no Jimmy.
13:22 I flew over the forest, the Daily Planet, nothing.
13:24 He disappeared, just like everyone
13:27 who came into contact with that tech.
13:28 - Oh no, Jimmy's on the suicide squad.
13:32 - It's inevitable.
13:32 - Let's get one thing straight.
13:34 I'm doing this for Jimmy, not you.
13:35 We could be overreacting.
13:36 Maybe he just turned off his phone.
13:38 - Dude, he was texting you both all day yesterday.
13:41 - Nod, stop.
13:42 - Why am I strapped to a, oh.
13:45 - Don't probe Jimmy.
13:46 - No, I read and I didn't know this.
13:49 Metropolis, Canon, and DC is in Delaware.
13:52 - What?
13:53 - Doesn't that blow your mind?
13:54 I couldn't settle into that.
13:56 - Yes, it's so specific and it's not any of the states
13:59 I would have guessed.
14:00 - Delaware, according to the DC map I found,
14:03 'cause I was like, I wonder what city it's near,
14:04 'cause they do fictional in non-fict--
14:06 Delaware, blew my mind.
14:08 - Where's Central City?
14:10 We'll get into this later.
14:11 - To be continued.
14:12 - I scouted the forest from the air at least a dozen times.
14:15 How did I miss this?
14:16 - Is it cloaked?
14:17 - That makes sense.
14:19 - Jimmy!
14:19 - Whoa.
14:25 - Jeepers.
14:27 My powers don't work in here.
14:29 - Weird.
14:31 - It's like Mirror of the Red Sun.
14:33 - I found Jimmy's phone.
14:34 - This is the moment, bird watchers.
14:36 Tonight, we find--
14:37 (choking)
14:38 What's that?
14:40 Did you hear that?
14:41 Is it--
14:42 (screaming)
14:43 - Whoa.
14:44 - Bigfoot kidnapped Jimmy.
14:46 - Yes.
14:47 (laughing)
14:49 - I've been kidnapped by Bigfoot!
14:51 - Girl in the garage!
14:51 - Yes.
14:53 - A Monsieur Mala and the brain, this is.
14:56 - Those are the last words the spying ears will ever hear.
15:01 - Oh, the brain.
15:04 The brain.
15:05 - This isn't how I thought it would end,
15:07 but at least I got to meet a super intelligent
15:09 French gorilla before I died,
15:10 which means I was right.
15:13 Go ahead and open my brain.
15:15 At least someone cares what I think.
15:18 - Live stream it.
15:19 Onto the fire bird.
15:20 - Oh, they feel bad.
15:22 - Would you like to talk about it?
15:24 - Yes.
15:25 I like that they're in love, too.
15:26 I appreciate that.
15:28 - When your kidnappers feel bad for you, it's dark times.
15:32 - Is Cadmus a name that we should know?
15:35 - Cadmus is a thing, yeah.
15:36 - Okay, Cadmus Minefield.
15:38 Hey, buddy.
15:41 - You know a Boston Robotics dog.
15:42 - Lois.
15:43 (laughing)
15:45 (groaning)
15:49 - I am against this.
15:50 - Is that the Loch Ness Monster?
15:53 - It's one of the mutants we lost in Scotland.
15:56 - Oh, conspiracy theories dream.
15:59 - The CIA's classified sonic guns under development
16:02 until the creator mysteriously vanished.
16:03 - Yes.
16:04 - The creator didn't vanish.
16:08 - We recruited him.
16:10 - Yes, you did.
16:11 Adorable.
16:12 - We belong to Cadmus.
16:14 The US government's top secret science agency.
16:17 - We, along with military division Task Force X.
16:21 - Ooh.
16:22 - While our sister program relished the charge,
16:25 we were not interested in destruction.
16:28 We used the technology to create.
16:31 - Yeah.
16:33 - After an experiment gave me super intelligence.
16:36 (laughing)
16:39 - Hell yeah.
16:40 - When it was discovered that we were making things
16:42 to change the world, not harm it,
16:44 Task Force X was sent to eliminate us.
16:47 - We'll be having that.
16:49 - They disturbed our most fragile experiment.
16:52 - No.
16:52 - An unstable black hole.
16:55 - Oh.
16:56 - Brain lost his body.
16:58 - Whoa.
16:59 (dramatic music)
17:03 - Oh, the black hole-atorium.
17:07 - It's back.
17:08 - Don't get lost in a black hole, Jimmy.
17:10 - Clark, run.
17:13 - Uh-oh.
17:17 - Oh, hey.
17:18 - Ooh.
17:19 (dramatic music)
17:22 - Ha ha ha, nice.
17:27 - We're in the clear.
17:29 - Oh no.
17:30 - Oh no.
17:31 - Oh golly.
17:33 (groaning)
17:35 - Whoa, naked supes.
17:39 - Bring it back.
17:41 - Tasty tradition.
17:42 - Yep.
17:46 - Those are very strong pants.
17:47 - Yes, my titanium pants.
17:50 - When we figure out how to stabilize it,
17:53 it will become a wormhole, a gateway to other dimensions.
17:57 - Oh, to the bizarro world.
17:59 - As long as nothing disrupts the flow of power
18:02 to this room, it's perfectly safe.
18:04 - Damn it.
18:07 Love the design with the--
18:12 - Yeah, it's really cool.
18:13 - Big hole chunk.
18:14 - We need to be careful.
18:15 - Who knows what could be--
18:16 (groaning)
18:17 - I told you, he'd mean enemies to us.
18:20 - Hey.
18:22 - Everyone stop.
18:26 - This whole situation today has made me realize
18:28 that I held things back from you and I shouldn't have.
18:31 I am--
18:33 - Clark, I know you're Superman.
18:34 This is not a big reveal.
18:35 (groaning)
18:37 - Yes.
18:38 - What?
18:39 - Yes.
18:40 - We've been roommates since freshman year.
18:42 The day I met you, you ripped the handle off of the door.
18:44 (laughing)
18:47 - Amazing.
18:49 - Okay, it's been a weird 24 hours.
18:51 My powers aren't working and we've been chased
18:53 all over this place by robots,
18:54 so let's just take a deep breath and stop yelling.
18:57 - She jumped off a building.
18:58 - Yeah, didn't really have a choice there.
19:00 - Cadmus never created any robots.
19:03 It is not one of ours.
19:05 (roaring)
19:07 - Uh, uh, uh.
19:08 - Damn it.
19:09 God, these things.
19:11 It's good 'cause they're like, they're formidable tech,
19:12 but they're also like, kinda creepy the way they move.
19:15 - Yeah.
19:16 (roaring)
19:18 - Whoa.
19:20 - What?
19:21 (yelling)
19:23 - What is going on?
19:27 - We got bored hiding like one year in
19:30 and made a bunch of mutants, okay?
19:32 (laughing)
19:33 Creating a black hole and an army of mutants,
19:37 we live a simple life, I guess.
19:38 (laughing)
19:40 - Oh, they got bored.
19:42 - Set the frequency ratio to .1778.
19:47 - Magnet.
19:48 - Hey, that's handy.
19:52 - Why did you cut me out of a huge part of your life?
19:55 - And me?
19:56 - Because I was scared.
19:57 All I've ever wanted is to be normal.
19:59 I don't want you to treat me like an alien.
20:01 I just wanna be your friend.
20:02 - Oh, buddy.
20:04 - We're friends because of who you are.
20:07 - And we just want you to be open with us.
20:09 - Open?
20:10 - That's it.
20:12 (grunting)
20:13 - Careful, buddy.
20:14 - We need to open the containment field
20:17 and let the black hole hit critical mass
20:19 for it to stabilize.
20:22 - Oh, boy.
20:23 - Seems a little risky there, Grodd.
20:25 - Get another big old hole in your building.
20:27 (yelling)
20:30 - Oh my goodness.
20:31 Yes, yes, yes.
20:33 - Are we getting multiversal?
20:35 Are we gonna go in?
20:36 - Are we going already?
20:37 - Oh, oh.
20:40 (screaming)
20:41 - It's all the rage right now.
20:43 - Whoa!
20:45 - Wow.
20:50 - Cool.
20:51 - The general found you.
20:53 - How did you?
20:53 - Your mechs woke up after you entered our perimeter.
20:57 The Omega Field affected you.
20:59 The tech reacts to you.
21:01 Then you're in the crosshairs of Task Force X.
21:05 Of him.
21:06 A man who would blot out the sun.
21:09 - The guy from 300.
21:11 - The one we've been hiding from.
21:12 Because once he sees you as a threat,
21:15 he will never, ever stop.
21:17 You are different, like us.
21:19 - Hey.
21:20 - If you come back, we're doing an interview for Flamer.
21:22 - And the Daily Planet.
21:23 I think we need some pictures, though.
21:25 - Aw.
21:27 - Harry might take some convincing
21:29 to become a true believer.
21:30 - Of course.
21:31 - Like us.
21:31 - No sign of the old tech that pinged us,
21:36 but we found clear signs of recent habitation.
21:38 - I am a gorilla.
21:40 - I want your opinion on the tech here.
21:43 - But why would a humble, kidnapped billionaire
21:45 like me do that?
21:47 - Because we want the same thing.
21:49 - Was that parasite healing?
21:50 - To take down Superman.
21:52 - When do we start?
21:53 (dramatic music)
21:55 - Yeah, Psycho Mantis.
21:56 - Big bad.
21:58 - Got us a suicide squad.
22:00 - All right, that was two out of three.
22:04 - Gotta go back for those voices.
22:06 I wanna know who voiced the lovely couple,
22:09 Gorilla and the Brain.
22:12 - Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain.
22:13 - Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain.
22:15 - The same thing we do every day, Pinky,
22:16 try to avoid the world.
22:17 - Yeah, try to find a place that'll accept our existence.
22:21 - Oh, it's back together.
22:22 - And they put the photo back.
22:25 - Cute.
22:25 - Gang, we got episode seven.
22:28 - Here we are.
22:29 - One, two, it's already started.
22:30 - Here it is, let's see if the logo's up.
22:32 - Here's the rest of me.
22:35 (screaming)
22:36 - That does, the evil tech kinda looks like this tech.
22:39 Must be Krypton.
22:40 - Oh, how did we not put the blue versus red,
22:43 only difference, maybe they took Krypton tech
22:46 and retrofitted it.
22:47 - Why did you bring me here?
22:49 - I brought you here because there's no bad guys,
22:51 no robots, and absolutely nothing to interrupt me
22:54 when I ask you this, will you go on a date with me?
22:57 - Oh.
22:57 - All right.
23:00 - So what is happening here, buddy?
23:05 - Jimmy!
23:06 (laughing)
23:08 - So I've plotted a route and timed it
23:11 because I'm taking Lois out
23:12 for the most romantic evening of her life.
23:14 - Oh my God.
23:15 - I'll fly in to pick her up at 645, the Cherry Blossom.
23:17 - Oh, it's so cute.
23:19 - Lois deserves it, one night with no talking gorillas
23:23 or freeze ray bank robbers, just me and her.
23:27 - I mean, I bet that talking gorilla
23:28 makes some good ass food.
23:30 - Normal and--
23:31 - Mm-hmm, yeah.
23:32 - Oh.
23:33 - She's like it too.
23:34 - Okay, great, I think I figured out
23:35 the perfect gift for Clark.
23:37 - Oh, jeez.
23:39 - His past.
23:40 I can't fly or fight robots,
23:42 but investigating, finding answers, this is what I can do.
23:46 - They're cute.
23:46 - Oh no.
23:50 - Oh no.
23:51 - Uh-oh.
23:51 - Superman.
23:54 (laughing)
23:55 I'm Mr. Mix's piddly--
23:56 - Hey!
23:57 I didn't realize he was like a Pokemon.
23:59 - Nope.
24:00 (laughing)
24:01 I'm charged with the safety of the multiverse, son.
24:03 - Nope.
24:04 - Clark is Superman in almost every reality.
24:07 This Earth, Earth-12, Earth-50--
24:09 - Whoa!
24:10 - Or 508, the works.
24:12 - We're going multiverse.
24:13 They did the Avengers, oh that was awesome.
24:17 - Yeah.
24:17 - The 90s Superman was just here in the 40s.
24:19 That was so cool.
24:20 - That was delightful.
24:22 - You're Lois Lane.
24:23 She's been kidnapped by a gang
24:25 of interdimensional criminals.
24:26 - Interdimensional gang.
24:28 - I can get you to their hideout,
24:29 but it's got measures to stop me from portaling in.
24:32 You'll have to break through their security.
24:33 - Whatever it takes, you're the dependable, Clark.
24:37 Now let's go.
24:37 - Why do I feel like you have something
24:39 to do with this, though?
24:40 - Yeah, you can't trust him, Mixy Piddly--
24:42 (beeping)
24:44 - Oh.
24:47 - Oh!
24:47 - Response.
24:48 - Good, that gives me time to change.
24:50 - He knew it was Trapper,
24:51 and he knew the audience would believe it,
24:52 'cause what we just saw, this is clever.
24:54 - Yeah.
24:55 - Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are for Earth-12?
24:57 You need to come with us.
24:58 - Earth-12. - Very interdimensional.
25:00 - Lois Lane, I'm Lois Lane.
25:02 - That's Lois Lane, and that's Louis Lane.
25:05 - Louis Lane.
25:05 - We are the League of Lois Lanes.
25:07 - League of Lois Lanes.
25:09 - Clark Kent is in danger.
25:11 - Oh, Lois League.
25:13 - The Council of Reeds of Loises.
25:15 So much happening.
25:16 - Lois Society of America.
25:18 - This is the kidnapper's lair.
25:19 They're inside, and so is Lois.
25:21 Quick, she doesn't have much time.
25:23 - Yeah, I don't trust you as far as I could throw you.
25:26 - Huh?
25:28 (screaming)
25:29 - Oops, ow.
25:31 - You gotta look out for their guard dog, too.
25:33 - Oh, jeez.
25:34 - Whoa, cool.
25:37 - The Interdimensional Peacekeeping Force.
25:39 The League of Lois Lanes.
25:41 - Wow.
25:42 - We were founded by Lois Prime,
25:44 the first Lois to discover the multiverse.
25:47 - Amazing.
25:48 - Awesome.
25:49 - Which Lois are you?
25:49 - My name's Jelena Olsen,
25:51 and unfortunately, it seems I'm you.
25:53 (laughing)
25:56 - He's so happy.
26:00 Jelena.
26:01 - He calls himself a chaos god.
26:03 We managed to disarm him,
26:05 but as we were taking him in,
26:07 a portal opened to a previously unknown universe.
26:10 - Universe 12.
26:11 - If I ever get my hands on the jerks
26:13 who helped that gorilla and the brain
26:15 open that stupid portal.
26:17 - Oh no.
26:18 - Your Clark is helping him.
26:20 - We tracked Mixie here,
26:22 and now your Clark and Mixie are missing.
26:25 We need your help.
26:26 - To find him, of course.
26:27 I'll do what I do best, investigate.
26:30 - Ooh.
26:31 - Once the scanner analyzes your dimension's tachyons,
26:34 we'll be able to find your Clark.
26:35 - If it helps Clark, then, hm.
26:37 - Eh, eh.
26:38 - In the meantime, make yourself at home.
26:40 - Just not in there.
26:44 - What are you Loises hiding?
26:46 - Sketchy, everybody.
26:47 - Hey, a Thannagarian mace, a green lantern.
26:50 - Is that a tea?
26:51 Was that a Mr. Terrific thing?
26:52 - What is that?
26:53 So many Easter eggs.
26:54 - Tea orb?
26:55 - We're robbing this place.
26:57 - What?
26:58 - No.
26:59 - Good stuff.
27:00 (thud)
27:00 (groaning)
27:02 - Dark defeat.
27:03 - Where is Lois?
27:05 - Metropolis, probably.
27:06 How should I know?
27:07 - Ooh.
27:07 - Cosmic rod.
27:08 - Ooh.
27:09 - Flight ring.
27:10 - Ooh.
27:11 - No, Lois was never in danger.
27:15 - I deceived you.
27:16 - I lied.
27:16 - Eh.
27:17 - Because portal-proof vaults are a huge inconvenience,
27:21 and you are very strong.
27:23 - But you're not the quickest guy from planet Krypton.
27:25 - Ooh.
27:26 - Ouch.
27:27 - Help me break this glass.
27:28 - No.
27:29 - Oh, that's okay.
27:30 I got it.
27:31 - Oh, geez, dude.
27:32 - What's on the tape?
27:33 - I always find that he's from Krypton.
27:35 He's this little punk.
27:36 - And you may be stronger than me,
27:37 but can you stop me?
27:39 I think.
27:40 (groaning)
27:41 - Oh, pfft.
27:42 - Does he have magic?
27:44 - I lost something.
27:45 - Dear to me, I'm less than I was,
27:47 but strong enough for one last trick.
27:50 - Ugh.
27:51 - Definitely gonna be about the multiverse.
27:54 - Wait, you're a flame bird?
27:55 Out of all the Olsens in the multiverse,
27:57 I've never met another one.
27:59 - Eh.
28:00 - You've seen mines that decay and remains
28:01 of the secret government laboratory
28:03 that definitely did not have a gorilla or a brain in it.
28:05 - Telepathic horse.
28:06 - Telepathic horse?
28:08 - Ha ha.
28:09 - Yes.
28:10 - It's time, bird leaders.
28:11 (clapping)
28:14 - Has many names.
28:15 - All right.
28:16 What are you hiding?
28:19 - Cerebro.
28:19 It's the amalgamated universe.
28:22 - Earth 52.
28:24 Multiple award-winning recorders.
28:26 - Earth 24.
28:27 Received key to the city at 19.
28:30 - Kingdom Hearts universe.
28:30 - Yeah, I was like, I see this.
28:32 - Superman file X.
28:34 Restricted access at headquarters only.
28:37 - So where is headquarters?
28:39 - Yeah, where's the lowest center of the universe?
28:41 The multiverse.
28:42 - Analysis complete.
28:43 We found McSeen Clark.
28:45 - The scene is set.
28:46 All we have to do is wait for them to show up.
28:50 - Wait for who to show up?
28:51 - Sand worms.
28:52 (laughing)
28:54 - Oh no.
28:55 - Oh no.
28:56 - What are those?
29:00 - Only thing that'll take down a clerk.
29:02 - He's too powerful to give the benefit of the doubt.
29:05 - No, I won't let you do this.
29:07 - We know.
29:08 - Yeah.
29:09 - You didn't grab us to help you.
29:11 - You're not League material,
29:12 but you're enough like us to cause problems.
29:15 - Ouch.
29:16 - Councils always be like this, man.
29:19 - Can't trust the League.
29:20 - Got you.
29:21 - It's him.
29:23 - He just said got you.
29:25 (screaming)
29:27 - Oh.
29:28 - What is this?
29:31 - Whoa.
29:32 - Clark.
29:34 - No, Jimmy.
29:35 - I thought we were flame bros.
29:37 - I'm sorry.
29:38 - Come on Olsens, step it up.
29:40 - Now for you criminal.
29:43 - What?
29:44 - We don't stop until we find.
29:45 - Oh, damn it.
29:48 - Lois is still on board.
29:50 - Yep.
29:54 - No.
29:56 - We can't let Mixie get away.
29:57 I'll keep an eye on Superman.
29:59 - Start talking guys.
30:01 - League headquarters, you know where it is?
30:03 - I don't, but Lois Prime did,
30:06 which is why I nabbed her recorder.
30:08 - You're not gonna try to stop me.
30:10 - The other Loises are hiding something
30:13 from me about Superman.
30:14 You're gonna take us to HQ
30:15 and I'm gonna find out what it is.
30:17 - Yep.
30:18 - You met a legion of yourself
30:19 and the first thing you did was suspect them of lying.
30:23 (laughing)
30:25 - Lois Prime would have loved you
30:27 because she didn't trust anyone either,
30:30 which is why she kept a secret backup master key.
30:32 Now I know which Lois you are.
30:35 You're the fun one.
30:37 (laughing)
30:39 - I like that they waste no time with these plot lines.
30:42 They just go there.
30:42 They don't pull the punch.
30:43 Yeah.
30:44 - Yeah.
30:48 - Sweet.
30:52 - This is a file?
30:54 How does it work?
30:55 - Welcome to the future.
30:58 - But it's now time to take back what's mine.
31:01 (clapping)
31:02 - Oh, a little hat.
31:05 - Oh God.
31:06 - I'm back.
31:07 (laughing)
31:10 - Is the spot.
31:16 - Now I'm gonna need to get you off my back.
31:19 All of you.
31:21 - Oh no.
31:22 - This is bad.
31:23 This is real bad.
31:24 (dramatic music)
31:27 - Oh no.
31:27 Oh no, no, no.
31:31 Ah, you little gremlin.
31:33 - A lot of mixes.
31:34 - This is my fault.
31:36 I wanted to give you a normal first date
31:38 without any Superman weirdness.
31:40 - But this is the weirdest yet.
31:41 - I've seen the files.
31:42 I'm literally the worst Lois in the multiverse.
31:45 You would be better off with anyone else.
31:47 - They're all pretty evil or at least heartless.
31:49 - I love going on adventures with you, Clark.
31:52 - I love your brilliance.
31:53 - I love your kindness.
31:54 - I love, I love.
31:57 - Oh.
31:59 - Oh.
32:00 - Oh.
32:00 (clapping)
32:01 - Nice.
32:02 - Nicely done.
32:03 (clapping)
32:04 (dramatic music)
32:07 (roaring)
32:09 - Wow, cool.
32:15 (dramatic music)
32:19 - Ooh.
32:19 - Goodbye, dependable Clark.
32:23 - Oh boy.
32:25 - But I am strong enough for one last trick.
32:29 - Ha ha.
32:31 - Spooky.
32:32 (clapping)
32:33 - Not so tough without your hat.
32:35 - Jimmy.
32:38 - Definitely record that for the Firebird.
32:39 - It's a great, great mixy-plitlic story.
32:41 That's awesome, I like this.
32:43 - As for you three, where did they go?
32:45 - They grabbed a gauntlet while we were busy.
32:47 The computer's too fried to find
32:48 their universe's coordinates again.
32:50 - Yeah.
32:51 - Yes, you can always trust the Flamebro to have your back.
32:54 (cat meowing)
32:55 - Yes, you can.
32:56 - 9.30 p.m.
32:57 (screaming)
32:58 - They're always like a cat meow when they say that.
33:00 - I think Flamebird has a sound.
33:01 - Aw, Jimmy.
33:04 (dinging)
33:05 (laughing)
33:06 - Greatest wingman in the multiverse.
33:08 - It's too late for dinner, but I was thinking.
33:12 - No.
33:13 - No.
33:14 - Treat me to coffee, Smallville?
33:15 - Yeah, for Smallville.
33:17 (gasping)
33:23 - Oh no.
33:24 - How do you work?
33:25 - Oh, what you gonna find out after the perfect coffee?
33:28 Oh, with Ultraman and stuff?
33:30 - Oh.
33:34 - Zack Snyder's Superman?
33:37 (laughing)
33:39 - That's right.
33:40 Beginning of BBS.
33:44 - Have you figured it out yet?
33:45 (laughing)
33:46 - Ugh.
33:47 - Weren't you in jail?
33:48 - I was.
33:49 (laughing)
33:49 - Didn't take.
33:50 Besides, your drama is too fun to miss.
33:52 - Is this some kind of trick?
33:54 - Oh no, it's the truth.
33:56 - Just like not every Lois wins a Pulitzer.
33:59 - Oh, only seeing the evil ones, though.
34:02 - Not every Superman is good.
34:04 - Oh no.
34:08 - Oh wow.
34:09 - What is it?
34:10 - You figure it out.
34:12 - So that's how we get Kryptonite on Earth-12.
34:14 - Yeah.
34:15 (dramatic music)
34:17 - Woof.
34:17 Oh man.
34:21 - Wow.
34:22 - There's so many--
34:22 - A lot happening.
34:23 - So many things to--
34:25 - Woof.
34:26 - Both anticipate and unpack, I mean.
34:28 - We learned it's another Earth,
34:30 which allows for all the variations.
34:32 - And yeah, I mean, you know, Kryptonite as a,
34:37 just a, you know--
34:37 - A device.
34:38 - A device, as fuel for weaponry, various other things.
34:42 - Now, yep, now it's on planet.
34:44 - Yeah, and I'm like, if we are to get a Lex Luthor
34:49 or something like that at some point, you know,
34:51 I'm like, what's the--
34:54 - The other guy in the lab was named Alex.
34:56 - Yeah, that's true too, that's true too.
34:58 - And it looks like we got a Papa Lane,
35:00 so we got a lot of support and cast of villainy.
35:02 - Oh boy.
35:03 - That mixie was great.
35:04 - That was--
35:05 - It was really fun.
35:06 - Like, I think over these seven episodes thus far,
35:10 I have been really kind of enthralled by
35:12 and pleased by the fact that they'll set these things up
35:17 and instead of just flirting with them,
35:18 they will just full on go, like,
35:20 instead of being like, "Multiverse,"
35:23 but we'll get there, like, season three.
35:24 - Now they're like, "No, it's happening."
35:26 - Yeah, and it's like, I get the sense
35:27 that not every episode will have to be multiversal,
35:30 but now it's just a possibility, it's part of the world,
35:32 and now it's, yeah, gonna open up further doors
35:35 for more and more strangeness to happen,
35:38 and I also appreciate that they really do a nice weave
35:42 of serial and episodic storytelling
35:45 because the circumstances do feel like they kind of domino
35:49 even though episodes have their--
35:51 - Their own independent arc.
35:52 - Yeah, their own flavor, their own focus, all that stuff.
35:54 - Also, they made it very, very, very clear
35:56 with this multiverse that was gonna keep going in the DCU.
35:59 - Yeah, totally.
36:00 - They numbered them, they separated,
36:02 they had the old '90s and earlier classic animated shown,
36:06 which means it's all allowed to be canon.
36:08 - Yeah, totally.
36:09 - That was fun, and like you were saying
36:12 with getting into stuff right away,
36:14 we learned about Lois knowing quickly,
36:17 we learned about Jimmy knowing quickly,
36:19 we've really established a lot in a hurry,
36:22 and now we have Parasite, we have Mixey, we have Grodd.
36:24 - Yeah, so I wanna get the voices up here too
36:28 'cause I really appreciated,
36:30 I really enjoyed the back and forth
36:32 between Grodd and Brain and their relationship,
36:35 and just like, yeah, having, again, yeah,
36:38 like you have these, it's very fitting
36:41 to have some kind of shadowy laboratory in here.
36:45 Oh, Monsieur Mala, I guess would have been his name.
36:48 - Oh, is that not Gorilla Grodd?
36:49 I mean, I guess Gorilla Grodd's not as smart.
36:51 - Yeah.
36:52 - Maybe I failed this city in that,
36:54 I do not know Monsieur Mala.
36:55 - Either way, well, that's the thing too,
36:57 is it's interesting to see 'cause they don't always go
36:59 for the most recognizable name voice actor,
37:02 but I think the voice acting across the board
37:04 has been really nice, really distinct,
37:07 and with lots of personality,
37:09 and yeah, this would probably be my first Mixey Plitilich.
37:14 - Oh, he's so great.
37:17 - Mixey Plitilich story, and yeah,
37:20 what a fun, wild, impish presence that is,
37:24 and then to pit that against the council of Lois's,
37:29 I'd love if, I mean, a time travel casting,
37:32 because that's always the dream of infinite possibility.
37:36 Danny DeVito, Mixey.
37:38 (laughing)
37:40 Like, a Danny DeVito Mixey would be amazing.
37:42 - I like that.
37:43 - He could probably do it now,
37:44 but I mean, it's gonna be a lot of wire work.
37:45 - Yeah.
37:46 - But I would love a Mixey Danny DeVito.
37:48 - Yeah, totally.
37:50 - He's such a good villain when used right,
37:52 and I love that they incorporated the hat element,
37:53 I love the actual chaos, I love that he was threatening,
37:56 but also seemingly defeatable,
37:58 and then like, wasn't,
37:59 there's just a lot of fun with that character.
38:01 - Yeah, yeah, and I really like the way
38:02 that they've handled the, yeah,
38:04 revealing of Clark's identity,
38:06 the way they handled it with Lois versus Jimmy,
38:08 I thought was really nice, Jimmy's like, I always knew.
38:10 - And I love the conspiracy theorist,
38:12 like, knowing and like, just protecting his friend,
38:14 and like, that little bit of jealousy there.
38:15 - And they all have good arguments
38:17 as to why they behaved the way they did,
38:19 and you know, even though part of you is saying,
38:21 they're going like, well,
38:22 how would you explain this to somebody,
38:23 like, the points they all make from their perspectives
38:26 are still all valid, and you come around to Jimmy,
38:28 it's gonna be like, you told her first, you know?
38:31 You know, which is cute, but it also,
38:32 it all makes sense, and it all kind of feels
38:34 like it happened naturally from the momentum
38:37 of all these different colliding events
38:39 and stuff like that.
38:39 - And I don't think I've ever seen a multiverse story
38:41 told in a season one, so I really like
38:43 that this allows for like, infinite continuity,
38:45 because it doesn't have to tie to anything,
38:47 and it allows for the comic to happen simultaneously,
38:49 and like I said, the DCU, like,
38:51 this is establishing itself as its own thing,
38:53 so nothing has to be done.
38:55 Like, it all can be whatever they want it to be.
38:57 - Yeah, totally, and I like this as a trio of episodes too,
39:00 'cause now you have, yeah, you have your formed idea
39:02 that Task Force X is a big, formidable, you know,
39:05 Earth threat, or at least a shadowy, imposing presence
39:09 that's at odds, to some extent, with Superman,
39:11 you get to, you know, check back in with the tech
39:14 in episode five, you stand Jimmy up for Squatch Day,
39:18 and then, you know, you have the whole thing
39:19 with him and Steve, which I thought was cute,
39:21 and then the sixth episode is him going squatching,
39:24 and finding this lab, and that felt, like,
39:27 wonderfully self-contained, and--
39:29 - Yeah, these three episodes are a perfect arc.
39:30 Like, we didn't know that, we just picked,
39:32 because we were like, we didn't wanna watch
39:34 episode nine and 10 by itself, so we're like,
39:36 let's do three, and then this ended up
39:37 being a great, like, mini-movie.
39:39 - Yeah, yeah, it's like, I love Mala and Brain in the Woods,
39:42 I loved the juxtaposition, and they're really good
39:46 at misleading you, and feeding you things
39:49 that you think, like, oh, okay, this is some, like,
39:52 shadowy military base, or something like that,
39:55 and they're like, no, you brought those robots here,
39:57 we're just here, you know, toiling.
39:58 - Yeah, we're just hiding out, yeah.
39:59 - Yeah, we're just hiding out, trying to live
40:00 a peaceful existence here, and then,
40:02 with the Mixie episode, to have it be that,
40:04 yeah, he comes in, and he's like, oh, I need your help,
40:06 you know, I need you to come and save Lois,
40:09 or whatever it is, and then it turns out
40:11 he's just, like, tricking him into doing stuff,
40:12 and then having-- - And then, in the edit,
40:14 you're watching Lois, in our mind, get kidnapped,
40:16 and then she has her own scene a second later
40:18 that shows it wasn't, which is really clever,
40:20 'cause that's mischievous at us.
40:21 - Yeah, totally, and it's like, it's well,
40:24 I feel like there are probably slight variations
40:26 in, like, the image that Mixie shows Superman of Lois
40:31 being-- - They used a very different
40:32 camera angle than they've used.
40:34 I noticed that they used a more dynamic angle,
40:36 maybe, like, that universe would look different,
40:37 and she probably looked, like you said,
40:38 slightly different, but yeah, the angle,
40:40 I was like, that's a very bold angle,
40:41 and, like, then it wasn't her universe.
40:43 - Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally, and I just love that,
40:46 yeah, too, that gives you, that gives way,
40:50 really nicely to, yeah, just, I don't know,
40:53 it's very graceful, and it's like, it's fun, it's clever.
40:57 - It gets Superman.
40:58 - Yeah, and it really seems like, across the board,
41:00 it gets Superman, and even though there were moments
41:02 in that seventh episode where I was like,
41:05 well, I could kinda talk to him,
41:06 or at least get a sense for, like, who he is and stuff,
41:08 like, I also get that they're like, well, you know,
41:11 we've seen the ways this could go sour,
41:13 we can't just, you know, proceed with kid gloves
41:16 just 'cause you think you're Clark is fine.
41:18 And they addressed pretty head-on, like, my frustration
41:20 with Lois not knowing how to be a reporter,
41:22 'cause, like, they were like, you know,
41:23 the other one had already won a Pulitzer by her age,
41:25 and I was like, oh, yeah, 'cause she is not good
41:27 at that part, and they like, 'cause it has been bothering me
41:30 that intrepid reporter Lois Lane cannot do, like,
41:32 the normal human reporter-y tasks, but in this universe,
41:35 she's not as good at that skill.
41:38 - And, too, I mean, like, the way in which she, like,
41:41 leverages Mixie and gets the information.
41:44 - Which is the Lois we know and love,
41:45 and the investigative reporting,
41:47 but using it as investigating, like, pursuing and tracking,
41:50 like, that's a really fun little play on it.
41:52 - Yeah, and the multiversal, you know,
41:54 Olsen's helping each other out,
41:56 is like, there's just so many nice, knowing flourishes,
41:59 and I, too, I love that culmination
42:01 of them trying to have the date,
42:03 and then they're standing there together,
42:04 and they're both going like,
42:06 these are what I perceive to be my flaws and insecurities,
42:09 and then returning to each other,
42:10 but this is what I love about you,
42:11 and these are the qualities I see in you.
42:14 Which is, like, such a nice, again, they're--
42:15 - It's just heartwarming.
42:16 - They're really good at these juxtapositions
42:18 that, yeah, either warm your heart,
42:19 or mislead you in fun ways, or set up, you know, like,
42:23 there's also just, like, a really fun, bouncy,
42:25 like, joyous kind of humor.
42:28 There's, without having to be, like, jokey,
42:31 there are times when it is, like,
42:33 when Jimmy and, what was her name?
42:36 Janina, or something.
42:39 - Jalois, Jalois, I don't remember.
42:41 - When they're geeking out, and she's like,
42:43 I saw this telepathic horse, like, you know.
42:46 - So they go, like, they dive into it,
42:47 which it feels very much like
42:48 there's a 12-issue miniseries with Jimmy Olsen,
42:52 specifically, I think it's called, like,
42:53 Superman's Friend Jimmy Olsen.
42:54 - Jelana Olsen. - Jelana.
42:56 And, like, it's basically multiversal Jimmy Olsen stories,
42:59 and it's out of continuity,
43:00 and it's just full chaos for 12 issues,
43:02 but there's one through-line Jimmy
43:03 that goes in and out of multiverses,
43:04 and, like, has these elements,
43:05 and this reminded me a lot of that,
43:07 and it's, like, one of the best comics
43:09 in the last five years.
43:10 - Yeah, I would love to read something like that.
43:12 - Yeah, it's real special.
43:13 It won, like, three Eisners, I think.
43:14 It was, like, 2021?
43:16 It was either 2020, 2021.
43:18 It's literally just Superman's pal Jimmy Olsen,
43:20 and it's a really insane maxi-series.
43:22 - Oh, fun.
43:23 A also shouts out to Osric Chow from Supernatural,
43:27 voicing Lewis Lane.
43:30 Good old Kevin.
43:31 But, yeah, I thought this was a great trio.
43:34 I've really been loving this so far.
43:36 - Every episode's gotten better for me.
43:37 - Yeah.
43:38 - Like, I've really enjoyed one through four,
43:39 but I think seven was my favorite.
43:40 Like, I think it's just gotten better,
43:42 and better, and better.
43:42 - Yeah, I mean, like, this to me feels like
43:45 the joy of both, like, the imagination
43:49 and the whimsy that comic books can bring,
43:51 the whimsy that cartoons can bring.
43:54 And it all feels like, again,
43:56 you are certainly much more well-versed,
43:59 but this all feels like Superman to me.
44:01 - Some of the dialogue is so spot on,
44:03 where, like, I just, you know,
44:03 I didn't know I was bulletproof,
44:05 and I knew you weren't,
44:05 and, like, those moments are pure in Superman.
44:08 - Yeah, and you see a montage of him
44:10 doing stuff around Metropolis,
44:12 and you're like, oh, he saved a cat,
44:14 but he also saved, like, some people.
44:14 - Yeah, lots of other people.
44:15 - And he fought some robots,
44:16 and there's, like, a little bit of everything happening.
44:18 - And hey, canon multiverse,
44:20 there are Superman that might break Zod's neck,
44:21 and I made a reference to one,
44:22 and Snyder fans are gonna be real angry at me.
44:24 But that is Snyder Superman,
44:25 which is canon and totally fair.
44:26 - It's here.
44:27 - Different Earth.
44:28 - Yes, it is.
44:29 - And I love that Ultraman got referenced,
44:30 'cause Ultraman's a real sumbitch,
44:31 and that'll be fun to see if we go there.
44:32 Also, I liked your notice about the Kryptonian tech.
44:35 I'm curious if that comes to play.
44:37 - I feel like it must.
44:39 I feel like, and that too, we've also,
44:40 we've at least had Krypton named,
44:42 and the concept that I feel like
44:45 we're gonna address Krypton and his real roots as we--
44:47 - Krypton, we got Kryptonite,
44:49 we got, you know, Zod, not mentioned,
44:52 Jor-El mentioned earlier.
44:53 - Yeah, totally, totally, totally.
44:54 And, you know, we still have mysteries
44:56 to discover within the ship,
44:58 and we still have a Fortress of Solitude,
45:00 I imagine, to get to at some point.
45:01 - I'm curious if we get Lex in the finale.
45:03 - Yeah, yeah.
45:04 - And if that Alex was Lex.
45:05 - I feel like at this point,
45:07 that would be a, I would put money in the dairy coi.
45:11 But I agree, I feel like the first four episodes
45:13 were really nice, like, yeah, setting everything up,
45:16 getting to know just sort of the day-to-day in Metropolis,
45:18 and then this middle chunk we've done was like,
45:21 okay, now let's really shoot outward
45:23 into sci-fi and fantasy and stuff like that.
45:26 - And play, there's so much play in the show.
45:28 - Yeah, and it's really well-grounded by the characters.
45:30 - It's fun, we like it, we're excited for the finale.
45:34 We're gonna be doing the final three as a unit
45:36 when the finale drops, so please leave a comment
45:39 and let us know what else you want us to dive into.
45:42 We see your Young Justice comments,
45:44 but we gotta get these episodic ones up,
45:46 'cause the movies tend to do better than the episodic,
45:49 so if you want us to do stuff like that,
45:51 like, subscribe, share this video.
45:53 - Share this with everyone.
45:54 - Let the people know, 'cause we wanna keep doing stuff
45:55 like this, so that's how it's done.
45:58 But you got a Patreon of the day shout-out
45:59 we're gonna get to, who we wanna send some love to.
46:01 Wanna shout-out Michael B.
46:04 Michael mixes Plitalic, is what I'm renaming you today.
46:09 Michael B's got a terrific YouTube channel
46:11 called Omnimedia with a one where the I would go.
46:14 - I know this fellow, I know him of the Omnimedia.
46:18 Now I know his real identity, his secret identity.
46:21 - Oh yeah, we just revealed it.
46:22 What are you gonna do now, Mike?
46:23 - Omnimedia, we know you're Michael B. Jordan.
46:26 - That's right.
46:27 - Revealed.
46:28 - Creed over here.
46:29 - Great directing in Creed III.
46:31 - I was very impressed.
46:32 - Yeah, yeah, and we see those anime influences
46:34 peaking through and speaking.
46:35 - Incredible gains as well.
46:36 - Exactly.
46:37 - Nice work.
46:38 - The most jacked reactor slash reviewer on YouTube.
46:41 And also reacting to my adventures with Superman.
46:44 So go support his videos as well.
46:47 He's been helping us figure out how to get these out.
46:50 - Check out his videos on this very show we just enjoyed.
46:54 - Yes, Cerebobarino.
46:56 - That's a multiverse of reactions.
46:58 - Yes, it certainly is.
46:59 - We were the Earth 12, he's Earth 11.
47:01 Watching it, his experience different than our experience.
47:03 We're all experienced and watching the multiverses together
47:05 through the power of the internet.
47:06 All right, Reject Nation, much, much, much appreciated.
47:09 Do all the YouTube-y things,
47:10 likes and clicks and types and things.
47:12 And we'll be back for the finale trio of episodes.
47:15 It's gonna be great.
47:15 We'll see you very soon.
47:16 Much love.
47:17 (upbeat music)
47:20 (upbeat music)
