00:06 the playmakers though for Texas are expected to shine. Led by
00:10 wide receiver Xavier Worthy and a guy Alabama knows well, the
00:14 Georgia transfer in A.D. Mitchell.
00:16 Yeah, you saw last year Xavier Worthy had a great first half
00:20 and really extended in terms of big plays against the secondary
00:23 and it's important for Texas to stay in manageable third down
00:26 situations especially on the road. They're gonna have to run
00:29 the football effectively with Jonathan Brooks and blue in the
00:32 backfield. They pounded the rock for 107 last week and at the end
00:36 of the day from a defensive perspective as well, they have
00:39 to force Jalen Milrell into mistakes, force him into
00:43 critical long third down situations and that's where Ben,
00:46 I give the edge to the Alabama offensive line. I think they're
00:49 gonna have to pound the rock. You look at Texas last year,
00:52 they allowed 122 rushing yards per game, 3.4 yards per carry,
00:56 but four losses. Alabama, they gave up 161, Texas Tech 148,
01:01 Oklahoma State 142 and Washington 158. To me, that's
01:06 the difference. Look for Jason McClellan to be a big part of
01:09 this offense, Kev.
01:09 You know, what's interesting is usually the phrase is
01:12 establish the run. I do think, and I'm not saying that they're
01:14 not, they're definitely gonna run the football here, but early
01:16 in this game, do they try and establish the pass? Couple of
01:19 deep shots there just to make sure that they respect the arm
01:21 of Milrell because he hit those deep shots against Middle
01:24 Tennessee and just again, that Bama secondary being tested
01:27 against a true passing quarterback last year. How many
01:29 real passers did they go against? Hendon Hooker threw for
01:32 nearly 400 and then maybe the Texas game that, you know, half
01:36 Quinn Ures, half Hudson Cardin, they flirted with 300 passing
01:38 yards.
01:38 Jaden Daniels sensational in that game in Baton Rouge against
01:41 Alabama as well. Xavier Worthy last week in the opener against
01:45 Rice, seven grabs, 490 yards.
