00:00 here by Braden Harkness, John Paulen, best on ground medals in a grand final. Braden, I'll start with you mate.
00:07 Obviously last year as premiership coach, this year as player. You must be getting sick of this premiership winning feeling mate, how does it feel?
00:16 Yeah, it's a bit different to last year. I see a little bit less stress for me during the week.
00:20 But you know, you just see the elation of the whole community there at the end.
00:25 A couple of great wins in netball today as well, so it's just great for everyone to get reward for a lot of hard work that's been put in.
00:32 So pleased for Kiauchi to experience that winning feeling as coach too.
00:37 We've had our ups and downs this season and our struggles, but we've put it all together in the right month, the last month of the year.
00:46 Just so pleased, so happy for everyone involved.
00:50 You mentioned it's a bit different, obviously the stress of the tactics and everything, being a coach and trying to work out how to beat a team.
00:58 As a player, what exactly do you feel was different this time around?
01:03 Just got probably a little bit more focus on your own game, a bit more of a licence to go and do things that Kiauchi set out for me to do,
01:12 as opposed to worrying about what everyone else is doing.
01:15 They're all sweet obviously, add to the collection is nice, but as I said, just couldn't be prouder of everyone involved.
01:24 And John, you've capped off a pretty big couple of weeks with a medal, now a Premiership medal, I think your third or fourth for the club?
01:33 Yeah, fourth.
01:34 Fourth and second best on ground medal I believe.
01:37 What is it about finals that you seem to lift another cult? Obviously you must really enjoy playing in front of big crowds and doing the hard work and really setting the tone for your midfield.
01:50 Yeah, I think pre-season is what you try and work for, get on the big stage in front of the big crowds.
01:56 When all the supporters are behind you, it just makes you lift another gear and you always want to win in front of the big day.
02:04 What do you think makes this club so special? I've seen the A-reserve netballists and the A-grade netballers win as well,
02:11 it's back to back for the club in both now, two years running.
02:16 For such a small farming community, what does it mean to represent them and deliver for them on the day?
02:23 It's just such a hard working club.
02:25 Everyone just does their part and you just want to do things for everyone because everyone is such a good bloke and woman.
02:38 Congratulations and enjoy the celebration.
02:42 Thanks Nick.
