00:00 President Marcos encouraged Singaporean businessmen to invest in the Philippines
00:05 as part of the Maharlika Investment Fund.
00:07 In his visit to the Asia Summit,
00:09 the President said that the Maharlika Investment Fund
00:13 was established because the government is in charge of the country's debt.
00:17 He also increased the Philippine economy's growth last year to 7.6%.
00:24 He continued to promote his administration of the agriculture sector,
00:29 which is targeted to have sufficient food supply for Filipinos.
00:36 And so we have continued to develop our agricultural sector.
00:41 And the aspiration once again is that we are able to provide
00:46 sufficient supply of food at prices that people can afford.
00:51 And that's still, we are not there yet,
00:53 but we have made many important steps to start that.
00:58 The President's trip is just in his 66th day today.
01:04 Tomorrow until Saturday,
01:05 the President is expected to meet with business leaders and investors,
01:09 and the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix is expected to be watched.
