01:03 In the 1970s and 1980s, Francis De Prisque of his real name was known for his success with his main groups, Lou & The Lee Wood Bananas & Two Man Sound.
01:15 It was at this time that he composed, produced and sang the hit "Sapplane pour moi", a parody of some punk songs.
01:27 A song for which he invented a virtual character, Plastique Bertrand.
01:34 Faced with the unexpected success of this title, he called on Roger-Marie-François Jouret to play this character.
01:44 The latter then had a remarkable career, under the pseudonym of Plastique Bertrand.
01:53 A long judicial saga around "Sapplane pour moi" followed, a very long judicial battle broke out between the two men regarding the paternity of this cube.
02:05 Plastique Bertrand himself had admitted that he was not the interpreter of "Sapplane pour moi", before denying his own allegations, then changing versions again.
02:18 In 2010, an expert report had however concluded that Louis De Prisque was the original interpreter of this song, sung by many rock bands, such as Sonic Youth and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
02:32 In addition to Plastique Bertrand, Louis De Prisque had produced other artists such as singer Victor Laszlo, Muriel Dac, Jev Bodar or Jean-Luc Funk.
02:45 Many Belgian artists paid tribute to him by learning of his disappearance.
