00:00 You know I can still see him.
00:02 Can you?
00:03 Yeah, you know, in my head I think about him a lot.
00:07 Oh, right, right.
00:08 Billy Miller's mother speaks out in the wake of her son's death.
00:12 In a statement to Soap Opera Digest, Patricia Miller says he died after a long, hard, valiant battle with bipolar depression.
00:19 Yeah, I get it. You're doing what you think is best for your family.
00:23 Well, I've got to protect mine.
00:26 Billy, who is best known for roles on The Young and the Restless and General Hospital, died on Friday in Austin, Texas.
00:33 His family shared that he was struggling with manic depression when he died. Sunday would have marked his 44th birthday.
00:40 It's great. It's not my first rodeo. I've done all my children in The Young and the Restless.
00:45 This is a very big one. It's always great to walk into a place where people are well established and they welcome you in.
00:51 After the hazing stopped, it was quite lovely.
00:56 Patricia starts out her statement by thanking fans and friends for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers and condolences sent to her and her family.
01:04 She says while Billy battled bipolar depression for years, he did everything he could to control the disease.
01:10 He loved his family, his friends and his fans, but in the end, the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life.
01:17 That's what makes soap fans great. They're excited, they engage and they celebrate you being in their homes every day.
01:24 That's the best part of this job.
01:26 Billy's mother also is shutting down any rumors surrounding his death, saying the other causes are simply not true.
01:33 I wish they were, but they just aren't. We all loved him so much and are desperately trying to deal with our loss.
01:39 Wait, now? Now? Now is not?
01:41 Right now.
01:42 Hey, yo, it's time. It's time.
01:45 I mean, we're here. This isn't real?
01:48 No.
01:49 Oh.
01:50 Billy's soap opera colleagues are also mourning, including Young and the Restless actress Eileen Davidson,
01:55 who wrote on X that his infectious charm and warmth left lasting impressions on all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives.
02:03 Hey man, that looks nice. Is it the same as your other ones? A little heavier? A little lighter?
02:08 It's about the same.
02:09 You got three now.
02:10 About the same, yeah, you gotta love them each equally, just like your kids, right?
02:12 General Hospital's Risa Dorkin also remembered Billy, writing in part,
02:16 "My heart goes out to him and everyone who loves him. He is loved by so many. Warm, kind, incredibly talented."
02:24 You know, um, when a goose is injured and falls out of formation, another one will leave the flock and stay with the injured bird until it's healed.
02:41 Well, that's me, baby.
02:44 I'm gonna stay with you until you're ready to fly again. And then we'll take off together.
