00:00 There is something special about having the home crowd support,
00:03 especially when that home crowd is at Kyle Field.
00:07 Three weeks in a Connor Wegman second year as an Aggie,
00:09 the 12th man has played into his persona as a starting quarterback.
00:14 After Saturday's 47 to 3 win over University of Louisiana Monroe,
00:18 Wegman finished with his second 300 yard performance at Kyle Field.
00:23 The Cypress, Texas native finished with 337 passing yards and
00:26 a touchdown on Saturday.
00:28 Last season Wegman completed 63% of his throws at Kyle Field and
00:33 averaged 8.6 yards per play.
00:35 Through two home games, he's completed 82.3% of throws while averaging 10.8 yards
00:41 per attempt.
00:42 Wegman is also connected with three different receivers for 100 yard outings.
00:46 Wide receiver Aniah Smith spoke on the impact the quarterback is making,
00:50 saying that Wegman's attitude has translated over to the offense.
00:54 Even after being benched in the third quarter in favor of quarterback
00:57 Matt Johnson, Wegman remained locked into the offense,
01:00 offering advice to players returning to the sidelines.
01:03 Even the defensive players have taken notice of Wegman's presence and
01:06 persona, as safety Bryce Anderson commented that Connor brings
01:10 a different level to the game.
01:12 He also said that Wegman is going to keep the guys going no matter how the game
01:16 is going, and that they feed off of each other.
01:19 Wegman and his Aggies will have another chance to prove the power of the 12th man
01:24 as they open up SEC play against the Auburn Tigers Saturday at 11 AM at Kyle Field.
01:30 From all Aggies, I'm Alexandra Cox.
