00:00 It's a privilege to be the head coach at University of Arizona, and one in which I would say every single day
00:07 I feel that I need to earn that privilege. And I tell our coaches the same thing.
00:12 You've got to earn the right to wear the block A. I tell our players the same way.
00:16 You've got to earn the right to wear the block A. And if we do that, if we do that,
00:21 we'll be able to get to where we want to be, which is part of the national conversations.
00:27 We've got some great players and great coaches. What I'm most excited about is the continuity that we have in our program.
00:33 We have 10 of 11 coaches returning from last year.
00:37 Arizona went eight years with eight different defensive coordinators,
00:41 and we have the chance to bring our defensive coordinator back,
00:44 and I feel like that's going to make huge strides in our system. Our entire offensive staff is back.
00:49 We're coming off having one of the best offensive years
00:53 Arizona football has had. We went from 123rd to 1st in explosive offense.
00:58 We went to number 11 in the country from 107th in yards per play and
01:03 top 20 offense in the country.
01:05 But really what makes it personal for us is our players, our coaches, our
01:12 commitment to recruiting, our commitment to the kids that we have in our building.
01:16 We've had over the last two years
01:19 two of the best recruiting classes Arizona's ever had. First time in the history of Arizona football,
01:24 they finished in the top 40 twice in a row. My expectation is that we finish even higher this year.
01:31 Our goal is to keep kids in Arizona at home.
01:34 Our goal is to keep kids from Tucson at home, and we're working very hard to achieve that goal.
01:41 Everyone we bring in, we train on our culture.
01:46 Everyone we bring in can speak about what it means when we say it's personal and what we mean when we say to earn the honor
01:53 and earn the right to win.
