00:01 I love a good mother daughter series.
00:04 Obviously you both are so busy with various things
00:09 in your lives.
00:10 Why was now the time to do a reality show?
00:12 - Well, because we were actually presented
00:19 the opportunity, talked over with the WE tv team.
00:24 And we just thought it would be a good time to do it.
00:27 Like now that Reginae has her things going on in her life,
00:31 I have different things I'm working on in my life.
00:33 We thought, why not?
00:35 - Was there anything, as you were like,
00:41 I guess ahead of the show,
00:42 was there anything that was ever off limits with the show?
00:46 - Anything that was ever off limits?
00:50 - In your life.
00:51 - I can't think right now.
00:58 - I feel like, you know,
01:00 I don't think it's like more off limits.
01:02 I just feel like just in general,
01:05 it don't matter who you are,
01:06 you gonna put, when you put people on your life,
01:11 you put them in your life to a certain extent.
01:13 And I feel like that goes for anybody,
01:14 a camera person, anything.
01:17 So it's just, you know, we put what we wanted out there,
01:20 which I feel like everyone should do with anything.
01:23 - Absolutely.
01:24 And I know Reginae,
01:25 you focus a lot on your relationship in the series,
01:28 you know, was there,
01:29 and I know that you both have been, you know,
01:31 open about your relationship in the past.
01:33 Was there any hesitation to put your relationship
01:36 in the limelight in this way?
01:38 - I feel like it's always the hesitation
01:45 to put relationships out, period.
01:47 Because you just never know
01:48 how people are gonna just accept it.
01:50 You never know.
01:51 People, they say they're happy for you,
01:53 but they really don't be happy for you all the time.
01:55 So of course I was just like,
01:57 uh, you know, I didn't really know how it was,
02:01 but we were already on YouTube.
02:04 So I feel like we already put our life out there already.

02:14 - Toya, you, you know, obviously are a mother to Reginae
02:18 and also a young daughter, Rain.
02:21 What's the biggest difference between these two?
02:24 - I think they both have bubbly personalities.
02:29 Rain is just like a little,
02:33 she's a little old lady.
02:36 Like we just, she just keeps us laughing.
02:38 She has like the biggest personality.
02:42 I think with Reginae,
02:45 I guess I was like much younger raising her,
02:47 and with Rain, you know, I'm older.
02:50 So it's like, it's just different.
02:52 It's just, it's just different.
02:54 I don't know.
02:55 It's just, it's a difference this time around,
02:57 but they are similar.
02:58 Everybody tell me I had the same kid twice.

03:03 Reginae, what's it like being a big sister,
03:06 you know, to Rain?
03:08 - Oh my gosh, I love it.
03:10 First of all, I have, I have three little brothers.
03:13 They're like 13, 14 in that area.
03:16 So it's like, I love being a big sister,
03:19 but when I have Rain, a girl,
03:21 when the first girl came, I was like,
03:24 first I was hesitant because you know,
03:25 you always want to be the only girl.
03:27 But then I'm like, she's literally my mini me.
03:30 Like we, I call her, FaceTime her,
03:33 like I'll call my mom just to talk to her sometimes.
03:36 Like that's literally my best friend.
03:38 Like I love her.
03:39 She's, she's really mini me.
03:42 - Is there anything you two,
03:45 I have a very close relationship with my mother.
03:48 Is there anything that you two, I guess,
03:50 like don't always see eye to eye on
03:52 or even through this show realize like,
03:55 hey, like we were kind of on different sides of things.
03:58 - Of course.
03:59 And you know, I think every mother and daughter
04:01 relationship goes through that, like the differences.
04:04 It was like back in the day, of course it was worse,
04:07 but now that you know, Reginae is the,
04:10 she's grown up so much and she's grown now.
04:13 Our relationship is, you know, it's different.
04:16 We, we, we understand like the disagreements now.
04:19 Like we'd be like, okay, I don't agree with that.
04:21 And we realize it's okay to disagree.
04:23 You know, we not gonna always, you know,
04:25 agree on everything.
04:26 And now we able to move better with this.
04:30 Like, okay, I get it, but I don't,
04:32 I don't really agree with that.
04:33 Oh, I hear you up, but I'm not, you know, and it's fine.
04:38 - And I feel like you're,
04:39 the relationship evolves as you get, you know,
04:42 better and wiser and whatnot.
04:45 How does your dad feel about the show?
04:48 - Oh, my dad is always very supportive in everything I do.
04:52 I feel like he's always my number one supporter,
04:55 always clapping for me.
04:57 So he feels, he's happy for me.
05:00 - Do you think he'd ever make an appearance on the show?
05:03 - I don't know.
05:04 You guys will have to see.
05:07 You have to stay tuned.
05:08 - Okay.
05:10 And I know in the first episode,
05:11 you talk about your acting career,
05:12 which is something you're very passionate about.
05:14 Were you ever interested in music?
05:17 - So, yes, I was in a group when I was younger
05:23 called OMG Girls, and then I branched off a little bit,
05:27 doing little stuff with my best friend.
05:31 And then I started doing a little solo.
05:33 I did a song with my dad.
05:35 But acting is really for me.
05:39 I like to play around with music.
05:41 Like, I'll go in the studio with my friends and just play,
05:44 but I love acting.
05:45 That's where it, acting in my clothing line,
05:48 I fit in just putting different things out on YouTube.
05:52 That's me.
05:53 - Okay.
05:54 Is there anybody that you would love to work with
05:56 in terms of acting?
05:58 - Oh my gosh.

06:08 Oh, so many, so many.
06:10 I have so many, so many.
06:13 - Okay.
06:14 And Antoya, you are happily married.
06:16 And what is the secret to just a really successful marriage?
06:21 Like, how are you guys doing today?
06:22 - I think the secret to a successful marriage
06:26 is just communication.
06:28 Like, just being friends with that person first.
06:32 'Cause some days you might be like,
06:34 oh, I don't wanna be around, but that's my friend.
06:35 Like, we gonna talk about everything.
06:37 And no relationship, no marriage is perfect.
06:41 And we understand that.
06:43 You work through your differences,
06:44 but the key is being friends
06:46 and having a bomb level of communication.
06:50 'Cause that's usually when things go wrong,
06:52 when the communication is off.
06:55 - You know, and I know you have Rain and Reginae,
06:57 but have you opened more kids or are you done with two?
07:01 - Oh boy.
07:03 Yeah, that's a whole 'nother day.
07:05 Yeah, maybe.
07:10 - Maybe.
07:11 And I know in the show, you're taking in your teenage niece.
07:15 Is she living with you?
07:17 - Yeah, she's off to college now.
07:18 We just sent her, well, drove her to school, what, last week?
07:23 She goes to, yeah, she's in college, Troy University.
07:27 - What was that like having a teenager
07:29 like just plop back in your house again?
07:32 - I love it.
07:33 My niece is such a beautiful girl.
07:36 Like, she didn't give us any problems.
07:39 She, you know, my little one is so attached to her also.
07:44 You know, my brother passed away.
07:45 I took her in and I raised her like my own.
07:48 And like to see her off to college,
07:50 it just makes me so proud.
07:52 - I love that.
07:54 And, you know, you guys,
07:55 like after filming the first season, you know,
07:57 are you guys open to continuing the show?
08:00 Would you wanna keep, you know,
08:01 the cameras on for a second season?
08:03 - Yeah, I mean, it wouldn't be bad.
08:07 Yeah, who wasn't?
08:08 It was good working with the team,
08:11 really good working with the team.
