00:00 Hello, I'm comedian Joe Parra and I got something exciting for you.

00:05 It's not the winning lotto numbers, it's better.

00:09 When my adult swim show was cancelled, I went back to my stand-up roots and hit the road.

00:15 I did a tour that was supposed to be three weeks, but then grew to a year and a half.

00:23 I went all over, the Upper Midwest, the Lower Midwest, Buffalo, Scotland and Phoenix.

00:30 I tried salmon jerky, I signed a beauty, people even got engaged.

00:36 And in that time, a pretty good hour began to form.

00:40 Of new jokes, old jokes, jokes addressing people calling me "Dommer".

00:46 It was a difficult few months after the Dommer show came out on Netflix.

00:52 I've been doing stand-up for a decade and a half.

00:55 I even did some late night sets, but never a special.

00:59 So when the jokes felt ready, I decided to just do it on my own.

01:04 With the help of some collaborators from the show and two cool producer ladies who specialize in stand-up specials,

01:12 we could make it exactly how we wanted and wouldn't need savings anyhow.
