00:00 I'm here with Barry Knowles today and by the looks of this room he might be
00:05 Warrnambool's biggest Pies fan. What would you say to that?
00:09 I'd go close to it, yeah. With the dedication I put into it over the years and the paintings on the roof obviously.
00:16 So yeah, I'd be up there.
00:18 Tell me about this room. When did you start decking it out?
00:22 We bought the place I think 25 years ago and that's when I started.
00:26 One thing led to another and as I said I painted the 15 web-targeting photos on the ceiling, hand-painted them myself.
00:33 Bought numerous old jumpers, signed memorabilia. I collected football records.
00:38 I collected all the old newspapers up, all commonly rank-finaled, each back to 1902.
00:44 And yeah, I've just got a lot of stuff given to me which will never leave the room.
00:50 It's a lot of hard work put into it, a lot of effort but it's well worth it.
00:53 How did you start to be a Pies fan? Is there a family connection? Were your parents Pies fans?
01:02 Well, I think the first thing was I was born in 1958, the year Conway won the grand final.
01:07 And my mum was a Pies supporter so yeah, it's just all worked from there.
01:10 Wow. And how many grand finals have you been to yourself?
01:16 Unfortunately, bringing the kids up and life's pretty tough in the earlier days, my first one was 2003.
01:22 My wife rang me when I was down there and said, "You're coming to another place for a ride before you go."
01:27 I thought, "This is going to be a great day. We've got a lot."
01:30 So, and the other promise I made to myself in 2010, grand final, was I'll wear a Conway shirt every day when we win our next grand final.
01:40 And it's been 13 years, continuous days, not one day without wearing a Conway shirt.
01:44 Christmas days, I've done three overseas American road trips, Conway shirt, pretty play-right.
01:50 So, I've owned the world. And by the way, I haven't got one shirt, I've got 52 by the way.
01:54 You might, you must have a few, maybe not 52.
01:59 So, how many years have you been wearing a Collingwood shirt for the Frigate?
02:04 13. It'll be the 2nd of October 2010, I've made the vow, I was at the grand final.
02:09 So, I wear one every single day and I've owned the world, I've done one every single day.
02:14 Wow. And I even have a business name put on the back of probably one third of my wearings I wear to work every day.
02:19 I honestly don't think anyone would recognise me if I never had a Collingwood shirt on.
02:23 Do you mind showing me in here for my video? This is, there's not one part of this, what do you call it here?
02:31 The black and white loop.
02:33 Yeah, absolutely. And look, are you going on Saturday?
02:38 Yeah, I've got two seats.
