00:00 Nukas United are through to round four of the Carabao Cup after a very close 1-0 win
00:07 over Manchester City. Alexander Isak's goal, 8 minutes into the second half, was the difference
00:11 between the two sides. It was almost a game of two halves to be honest, the first half
00:15 Man City were very much on top. Eddie Alcos made 10 changes and you could really see that
00:19 was quite a disjointed first half performance from the hosts. Lewis Hall, Tino Livermendo
00:25 both making their first team full debuts for the club on either flank. Lewis Hall played
00:31 on left midfield, Tino Livermendo played right back. Lewis Hall struggled a little bit in
00:35 the first half, got aggressive by the end of it, he was substituted at half time. Anthony
00:40 Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes came on for Lewis Miley as well, he was making his full first
00:45 team debut as well. That was really the thing that changed Nukas' fortunes, the introduction
00:51 of Gordon and Bruno at half time. They came out with a different team and deserved it,
00:55 he scored that 8 minutes. It was a brilliant run by Joe Linton, he squared the ball, Isak
01:00 did what Isak does, right place at the right time, put the ball home and gave Nukas that
01:05 lead and a platform to really build on. The crowd really responded to that, there was
01:09 about a 5-10 minute period after that where every single tackle was, she had a goal almost,
01:13 it seemed to be in his pocket at his very best. The coach held on at the end, there
01:18 was a lot of rough and tumble but he managed to hold on and it was one that they'll remember
01:24 for a long time, it was in his pocket at his very best. Tino Livermanto was absolutely
01:28 superb at right back, I think he was probably Nukas' man of the match, he was given man
01:32 of the match by Sky Sports as well. It was a brilliant introduction to him and his Nukas
01:40 career and if it wasn't for Keane Trippier, I don't know, he'd probably be playing on
01:43 Saturday and getting more regular games. It was very promising to have that sort of depth
01:46 in the right back. Nukas will know Man City, they don't tend to do well against Man City
01:53 so it's a positive result for them and they're heading into Burnley full of confidence, that's
01:58 another clean sheet as well. Burnley the weekend, then you've got PSG back here next Wednesday,
02:04 that's going to be another brilliant night at St James' Park. Nukas tonight, through
02:09 to the next round of the Carabao Cup and one game closer to hopefully another return to
02:13 Wembley.
