01:05 In Brazil, the Senate plenary approved a bill that sets the temporary framework for indigenous
01:10 lands.
01:11 The bill was approved on Wednesday during a plenary session with 43 votes in favor and
01:15 21 against.
01:16 The initiative states that the indigenous peoples will only be able to claim overships
01:24 of the areas that they occupy permanently before October 5th, 1988, the date of the
01:32 promulgation of the constitution.
01:34 The bill is a response to the decision of the Federal Supreme Court which last Thursday
01:38 ruled that the temporary framework in the vote to stop the demarcation of indigenous
01:44 territories is contrary to the constitutional framework.
01:49 Likewise, on Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Brazil decides that owners of the territories
01:59 overlaid on indigenous lands will receive compensations if the areas are expressed in
02:07 the favor of the native peoples.
02:10 Those organizations point out that the proposal is a reward for illegal invaders.
02:15 They also warned that the breach opened by the Supreme Court will encourage the illegal
02:20 occupation of lands with public funds which implies violence against their people.
02:31 In Argentina, Women and Diversity collective marched to commemorate a global date of actions
02:37 for access to legal, safe and free abortion.

02:56 if they win the presidency, it will mean the loss of several rights for the community.

06:24 Although experts assure that it will have no chance of succeeding given that they do
