00:00 Good afternoon, it's Chris here with your top three stories today, Wednesday October the 4th.

00:10 Number two, woman accused of stabbing a man to death at Wakefield House to stand trial next year.
00:16 And number three, Leeds Council approved plan for private children's home in Pudsey despite anti-social behaviour concern.
00:23 That's it from me, have a great day and we'll see you tomorrow.
00:26 Hello Leeds, Alex Grant here from the Yorkshire Evening Post and today I asked the public whether they believe that local speed limits should be lowered from 30mph to 20mph.
00:36 This follows a similar change being made over in Wales.
00:40 I think in some areas yes, but in some areas no.
00:45 I mean we know there's some people that don't stay within the law, but no I don't think every area should be 20.
00:55 And do you feel like lowering it in some areas would make you more comfortable when you're sort of walking about and sort of you know out and about?
01:02 Yeah you want to know that you're not just going to step off the pavement and get knocked down.
01:07 Somebody just...
01:09 Yeah so do you think then that speed limits in some areas should be lowered from 30 down to 20mph?
01:15 Yes I do, I think it should be all the way around more, especially on the main street because traffic seems to come up over 20mph.
01:25 And do you feel it would make you feel more comfortable when you're sort of going about the town knowing that the speed limit was that bit lower?
01:33 Oh of course yeah because it would make a lot of difference.
