00:08 OK, what you see here is the 2015 Ford F-150.
00:13 We've heard a lot of rumors about this in the past.
00:15 And it turns out that actually a lot of those rumors are true.
00:18 It is going to be made of aluminum, military-grade aluminum at that.
00:22 There are some other cool features here, too,
00:24 like careful attention being paid to the aerodynamics of it,
00:28 the combination of which is going to give the Ford much better fuel economy.
00:33 How much better?
00:33 We don't know yet.
00:35 There's a 3.5 liter V6 as the base engine.
00:38 Stepping up one level is the 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6.
00:42 That one's new.
00:44 Returning is the 5 liter V8.
00:46 And now the new top of the line is the 3.5 liter EcoBoost.
00:50 Now, the 3.5 liter EcoBoost was here before.
00:53 But the 6.2 liter V8 had been seen as the big dog.
00:56 That is discontinued for 2015.
00:59 All four engines will be backed by a six-speed automatic transmission.
01:03 So the 2015 Ford F-150 does use some styling cues
01:08 from the Atlas concept that was shown at the Detroit Show last year.
01:11 You can definitely see it in the headlights.
01:13 But the grille isn't quite as over the top as it was in the concept.
01:17 It also takes from the Atlas some of the aerodynamic features,
01:20 like using active grille shutters and that kind of thing.
01:24 One of the other cool new features of the F-150 is 360 degree view.
01:28 That makes it a lot easier to park and maneuver in tight spaces.
01:33 In addition, the interior is incredibly luxurious.
01:36 And they have a lot of the safety features
01:38 that you would expect to see on something more like a luxury car.
01:41 What's interesting, too, is with this cabin,
01:43 there was careful attention paid to the materials
01:46 and to give that sense of luxury on the higher trim levels.
01:49 Now, obviously, if you want a work truck,
01:51 you don't have to have all that stuff in case
01:53 you're worried about it getting scratched or cut or damaged
01:56 or something like that.
01:57 On paper, the F-150 seems like it's taking some big chances
02:00 by making that body all aluminum.
02:02 But again, it is military grade.
02:04 And also making that interior so nice with so many amenities.
02:08 It'll be really interesting to see how GM and how Ram Truck respond
02:12 to something like this with their next generations of their products.
