In another segment Tuesday, Rodgers discussed how QBs read pass rushes
Transcript
00:00 Aaron Rogers talked at one point during yesterday's Pat McAfee show about how
00:06 offenses today, some of the offenses in the NFL today are taking some of the
00:10 decision-making away from the quarterback and automatically having him
00:15 do certain things with certain looks. And he went in why it's important for a
00:18 quarterback to make those decisions based on all the things he sees. And he
00:22 went through a whole litany of things that a quarterback might look at and
00:26 it's I think he did it just to show how complicated the quarterback position is.
00:31 But there's certainly some truth to it as well. He reeled off, I
00:37 don't know, 20 things that a quarterback is looking for in each play to determine
00:41 blitzes and coverage and how teams are gonna try to rush the quarterback.
00:51 And a lot of it was for him looking good, a smart quarterback looking good. I don't
00:59 know, maybe not. That's just my impression of what it was. But this
01:03 segment here had to do with the recovery and he has very different ideas about
01:08 what's possible and what's not possible. And he admitted he has the financial
01:12 wherewithal to get the very best information, to get the very best
01:15 physical therapists, to get all the very best, to get tons of different kind of
01:21 opinions. And that's obviously a big help to be able to get the best of the
01:26 best as far as advice and implementation of everything that it'll take to recover
01:32 from this kind of injury. We'll see. I still think it's a concern of
01:38 whether he'll be able to play again at age 40 after coming back from an Achilles
01:43 tendon tear or whether he'll be able to play at the level at which he was
01:47 playing before the injury.
