Fantasy Football Choices: Rice vs. Wilson for Week 5

00:02 - Here's my dilemma, again with wide receivers.
00:06 I have Rasheed Rice at Minnesota for Kansas City,
00:08 and I have Michael Wilson for Cincinnati.
00:11 Now let's just throw out the fact
00:13 that nobody can make heads or tails
00:14 of Cincinnati at this point.
00:15 If they say they can, they're lying.
00:17 And then let's go to quarterback play.
00:20 So whom would I rather, Mahomes to Rice
00:23 or Dobbs to Wilson, Joe?
00:25 - Yeah, look, this is an intriguing one
00:29 because I actually think these guys are both viable
00:31 in your deeper leagues as flex plays today
00:33 because they are kind of the boomer bus guys, right?
00:37 You can see both these guys putting up six points
00:40 or all of a sudden 16 points if everything breaks right.
00:43 Now, the trend for Rasheed Rice is a little bit better.
00:47 The quarterback, obviously better.
00:49 So I think he becomes the more intriguing piece
00:51 because he's getting a lot of red zone opportunities.
00:53 And we mentioned it earlier in the show,
00:55 Sky Moore has been disappointing.
00:57 I think we all wanted to give him another shot
00:59 at being the guy to break out in this offense,
01:02 but slowly but surely Rasheed Rice,
01:04 who was another guy that we were betting on.
01:05 Remember in all of those drafts we did
01:07 and all those mocks and all those conversations,
01:09 we kept talking about taking shots here at Kansas City.
01:12 And if you take enough shots,
01:12 you're gonna be right on somebody eventually here.
01:15 And Rice was one of those big guys
01:16 in the deeper leagues to take shots on.
01:18 And Rice is probably floating around
01:19 a lot of waiver wire still.
01:20 I would be adding him.
01:21 I think Rice is the guy to take a shot on here.
01:24 Once again, coming back to quarterback,
01:25 play the total, Dobbs has been really good.
01:29 Dobbs has been better than I think any of us thought.
01:31 Wilson certainly in some tough matchups
01:33 against Dallas Cowboys and tough matches
01:35 against the San Francisco 49ers,
01:37 has proven that he's a guy that should have our attention.
01:39 I think at the end of the day though,
01:41 if I have to flip the coin between these two dark throws,
01:44 I think I'm gonna flip it to Rice because it's Mahomes
01:46 and because I'm gonna take that opportunity
01:48 and see what happens.
01:49 I think Wilson's viable though, in that same situation.
01:52 So if you are, let's say somebody who is looking
01:55 at missing a bunch of wide receivers,
01:57 like you had T Higgins, he's out.
01:58 You had Amon Ra, he's out.
01:59 You're desperate to look for people.
02:01 I think Josh Reynolds is an interesting streamer this week,
02:04 but also Rice and Michael Wilson,
02:07 all three of those guys I think could certainly
02:08 give you fancy points.
02:09 Maybe Reynolds is the most intriguing though,
02:11 because he might have more volume
02:13 than anybody anticipates this week.
02:15 So keep an eye on that, especially with Amon Ra
02:17 for the St. Brown doing with that abdomen issue.
