00:00 Because of the cyber attack in PhilHealth, the Department of Information and Communications Technology is assisting
00:05 to have a cyber security response team for each government agency.
00:09 PhilHealth will set up a help desk for their members who want to ask if their data has been compromised.

00:23 Based on the 24-hour report of the National Privacy Commission, the data stolen from PhilHealth
00:31 is more than 700 gigabytes long.
00:33 It was released by the Medusa Ransomware Group.
00:36 Some members' names, birthdays, addresses, and PhilHealth numbers are included.
00:41 We will be conferring with PhilHealth to understand the system that is affected by them
00:47 and the extent of data about an individual that could be compromised.
00:53 A specialized browser and software must be used to know if a member is affected.
01:00 That's why they will set up a help desk for PhilHealth members who want to ask if their information
01:06 is possible to be included in the data that has been compromised.
01:10 For now, the members must be careful.
01:14 PhilHealth responded to the first statement of the National Privacy Commission
01:19 where they saw a hole that's why the data was breached in PhilHealth.
01:23 In a message sent to GMA Integrated News, PhilHealth admitted that they might have been hacked
01:29 because their antivirus system was opened in April.
01:33 They also don't have a cyber emergency response unit but they have an information security
01:38 incidence response team.
01:40 The Department of Information and Communications Technology said that they will develop IT security
01:46 policies for the government and LGUs.
01:50 The DICT is also pushing under the National Cyber Security Plan for each agency to have
01:56 a cyber security response team.
