00:04 That's why there are dozens of versions of vegetables like chop suey and pinakbet.
00:10 That's the solution against hunger in the cooking of Bon and Hino.
00:14 What if the vegetables are too much in the supply and the price is too high so we just throw it away?
00:22 There's a solution for hunger and malnutrition.
00:27 Presenting the instant chop suey and instant pinakbet.
00:31 Boil it in water for a few minutes while it's in the packaging.
00:35 Then add the sauce and it's ready to eat.
00:38 It's just like other instant but healthy.
00:42 This is a project of the Department of Agriculture,
00:44 a joint venture of several local governments and private sectors.
00:47 Very nutritious, no MSG, no artificial flavoring, pure natural.
00:54 According to the DA, most of the instant vegetables are from Northern and Central Luzon,
00:59 half-cooked and blast frozen and placed in food grade packaging.
01:03 This is also what was done to the sauce.
01:06 The main focus is to directly support the supply and production,
01:12 link it to the processing and eventually directly to the marketing.
01:17 The government can feed this to the poor, to the school and to the prisoners.
01:22 We will also be partnering with DSWD, DepEd, Bucor
01:27 for school-based feeding programs during calamities.
01:32 Not just canned, not just instant noodles.
01:36 They are also studying if this can be distributed to supermarkets nationwide.
01:41 The price is still being fixed but the current target is to reach it.
