These are adverts from the ITV premiere of the film Short Circuit 2 from 1992. There are a number of ad breaks (plus the adverts after the film), including ones for shops sadly no longer with us, and the adverts are as follows:
1st break: Tesco (3 for 2 offer), Reebok; AirCanada; Addis storage boxes; Rennie's indigestion pills; Philips TV; Super Nintendo playstation; Coca Cola (Olympics giveaway); Blackthorn beer; and KitKat (Andy Capp cartoon).
2nd break: Captain Birdseye; Vauxhall Astra Saloon car (Nigel Hawthorne & Tom Conti, in boot of car); Hula Hoops (Drive in couple); Gillette sensor razor; Elnett hairspray (fashion show); Heineken beer (black guitar player); and Bianco choclate (woman's devious imagination).
3rd break: Lynx roll on deodorant; KP Skips crisps (dancing peppers); Audi Proton protection act; McDonalds (Search & Win game); Sprite (Olympics offer); Sainsbury's; Aero chocolate (Kid helps dad with wallpapering; Esso (Fantasia Tiger Token offer); Wella Balsam shampoo; Ryvita (wetsuit woman zip undoes), then ad for King's Solomon's Mines.
4th break: Mini Cheddars (Life expectancy); Debanhams; Thomson's (Emily Aston - Hitchhiking family); Eagle's beer (birdwatchers); Dulux (Dog kennel - Richard Wilson voiceover, then gargoyle); Vimto wine (dog); McCain pizza; Dove soap; Ford Fiesta Escort XL car; Golden Grahams cereal; Mini Cheddars (what's that down there?); Hotpoint; then ads for new TV programme Heartbeat, and Go Fishing.
Please note the Andy Capp advert has been muted to avoid copyright on a song, as I have encountered blocking on a number of my advert uploads. These are not all the advert videos I have in my collection due to the blocking and while I know it's not Dailymotion's fault for this it is becoming very dispiriting and I am tired of re-editing videos to upload again. So for my full collection of vintage adverts they can also be found on my other channel on
ok.ru.
Just type in "Old UK TV Adverts" and you should find it. As mentioned, all videos are free to post elsewhere as I feel it would be a shame to see these rare videos disappear.
