00:00 And Donnie, we said this entering the weekend, right?
00:05 As we were previewing the top 10 tilt, the 115th all-time being between 7th ranked Washington
00:11 and 8th ranked Oregon.
00:13 In Seattle on Saturday afternoon, a significant game not just because of what we were going
00:19 to see at Husky Stadium, but what it would mean for the Heisman Trophy race and the Pac-12
00:24 Championship race and what it might mean for this conference in its final year of existence
00:28 trying to get back to a college football playoff for the first time since 2016.
00:34 So with all that hype, Donnie, and with all that expectation, would it live up to the
00:38 billing?
00:39 Yes, and then some.
00:42 36-33, Washington comes back in the final minute and a half.
00:47 Michael Pennix Jr. finds Roma Nunes for the go-ahead touchdown strike with a minute and
00:52 38 seconds remaining.
00:54 It had an opportunity, DRS, but a field goal misses.
00:58 Couple of questionable decisions by Dan Lanning.
01:01 Was he too aggressive on some fourth downs?
01:04 He said maybe so in the opening half.
01:07 Regardless, Washington survives in Seattle.
01:11 36-33, the total of 66 and a half goes over depending on where you got the number.
01:17 2 and a half, 3 or 3 and a half, either you covered, you pushed, or you lost on the spread.
01:24 But Donnie, those were the numbers.
01:25 A 3 and a half point spread in favor of Washington with a total of 66 and a half.
01:30 The numbers said it would be one of the best football games of the year, and it was on
01:34 Saturday in Seattle.
01:36 It was so much fun.
01:37 It's hard to say that a team lost, and obviously we know the Oregon Ducks lost that game 36-33.
01:42 I love aggressive play.
01:43 Yes, there were questionable moments there where Lanning maybe should have took the points
01:46 or maybe a different play call could have worked out.
01:48 But if you're talking about setting a game up for an entire week, seeing the game day
01:52 atmosphere, a perfect day up there in Seattle, and just an unbelievable setting.
01:57 If you are a college football fan, like a bucket list game, and sometimes I talk about
02:00 boy I wish I went to the old Notre Dame Stadium.
02:03 Just that setting up there for Washington is so much fun, and the crowd is absolutely
02:07 amazing.
02:08 Two teams with some of the best home field advantages that you're going to find between
02:11 Oregon and Washington.
02:12 You take a look at the two quarterbacks coming into the game.
02:14 This was going to be a Heisman moment for maybe both of them if they could both provide
02:18 that energy and enthusiasm.
02:20 You take a look at Knicks.
02:21 3-37, two touchdowns, no interceptions, a QBR above 80.
02:25 Michael Pennix Jr., 3-0-2, four touchdowns, one interception, a QBR of 89.2.
02:31 He had two running backs go off.
02:32 Irving had a buck 27.
02:34 Dylan Johnson with 100 yards.
02:35 Tony Franklin 154 yards receiving gear.
02:38 And then he had two guys, Odunze and Polk, 128 and 118.
02:42 This game had everything.
02:43 Superstar players, theater, and also I love the fact that Oregon came out with one of
02:48 the cleanest uniform combinations you can have.
02:51 It was all there.
02:52 If you were a college football fan, or let's just say you weren't a college football fan,
02:55 and you tinder into one game this season, you're a college football fan for life.
02:59 That game had everything you needed, including the biggest backdrop of two top 10 teams.
03:04 I was thoroughly impressed, and anybody watching that game probably had the same feelings here.
03:07 It was a shame it just didn't go longer because of how much fun that game actually was, Ben.
