00:05 is he really hurt? Is this, is this more of, of him just, is he actually hurt and wanting to,
00:10 to wait till he's 100% to get back or is there something else going on? So can you, can you kind
00:16 of shed some light on, on what's going on with that, the quarterback that has a fully guaranteed
00:21 contract? I will do my best, but there are a lot of people in this town that would like to know
00:26 the answer to that question. We talked to Deshaun yesterday. Here, here's the latest, you know,
00:33 straight from the horse's mouth, right? Deshaun stood in front of us and said that it's a rotator
00:39 cuff injury. It is strained, but that there are micro tears in it, you know, in the joint. And
00:48 I'm not going to like try to play doctor and explain it on a crazy level. He said that he
00:55 feels largely okay, but he's not a hundred percent and he can't let it rip. And he said,
01:02 I don't want to go out there and handicap my team because I don't have, you know, the full ability
01:08 to make every single throw. It's not like he's playing through an injury on his non-throwing
01:13 shoulder where it, it may not directly affect the result of, of his performance. You know, the guy,
01:21 I'm not willing to question his toughness. He's played through some pretty nasty things over the
01:26 years. So I really don't think it's an issue of, does he actually want to play that? That's,
01:33 I have a hard time believing that. It is really frustrating to have the medical staff clear you.
01:43 And then to find out that you are simultaneously, as the team has said, functionally not ready to
01:51 play. So he's, he's medically cleared, but functionally not cleared. You know, Deshaun said
01:59 in his own research, he's read that it could be four to six weeks. He stood up in front of us
02:04 yesterday after not talking last week. And obviously we didn't hear from him during the
02:09 bye weeks. It had been three weeks since he had spoken. And he essentially said it could be today.
02:14 It could be tomorrow. It could be Sunday. It could be a couple of weeks from now. I was like,
02:18 oh, okay, well that literally narrows down nothing. Terrific. So I think there's a lot
02:23 of people frustrated because they want them to be on the field. They want this thing to,
02:27 to click. You know, the Browns are coming off of a really emotional, awesome win that has kind of
02:35 put the rest of the NFL on notice with the way Cleveland's playing defense. And there are a lot
02:40 of people that feel like maybe the season, you know, hit, hit a serious roadblock in week two
02:46 when Nick Chubb got hurt. And unfortunately he's not going to come back. But the idea of losing
02:51 your quarterback and your running back and Jack Conklin's out for the year. And, you know, last
02:57 week, Joel Batonia wasn't playing and all of a sudden your, your offense is feeling pretty depleted.
03:02 So there's a lot of pressure on him to come back. The Browns are trying to play it smart and make
03:08 sure that he doesn't come back before he is functionally ready to play.
