00:02 Hi, I'm Billy Rabock with Automobile Magazine,
00:05 and this is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS.
00:09 Mercedes wants this car to be the S-class of luxury SUVs,
00:13 and that means that they threw in everything.
00:15 So Mercedes is offering two engine options with this car.
00:18 One is a turbocharged inline six
00:20 that has appeared in other Mercedes models so far,
00:22 and the other one is a four liter twin turbo V8.
00:26 Both engines have Mercedes EQ boost system,
00:28 which sends an extra 21 horsepower to the wheels.
00:30 One of the really neat features is the car wash mode,
00:34 and that actually rolls the windows up,
00:36 it lifts the suspension, it tucks the wheels in,
00:38 and then it puts on the 360 camera,
00:41 so you can see all the crazy lights
00:42 and the colorful, you know, soap spray.
00:45 So that's pretty cool too.
00:46 It also has double captain chairs too,
00:48 so you can seat three rows,
00:50 and each person gets their own luxury armrest.
00:52 It's pretty amazing.
00:54 Let's go walk around and check out some details.
00:56 So, these are the 23 inch wheels,
00:58 they're absolutely massive.
01:00 You got drilled rotors, which is pretty amazing.
01:02 You need some big stopping power for the big boy.
01:04 Take a look inside, 'cause I haven't even looked in yet.
01:07 It's got running boards.
01:08 These are the 12 inch displays right here.
01:10 Mercedes also offers a scent system,
01:13 so you can plug in a scent
01:15 and have your car just be fresh smelling.
01:17 So, that's pretty neat.
01:19 One of the other things that's big
01:20 is the Burmeister sound system.
01:22 I don't know what the wattage is, but I'm sure it's huge,
01:25 like the rest of the car.
01:27 Oh, these fender flares are really neat.
01:28 Look at these.
01:29 So, they kind of flared it out
01:30 to give it a little more muscular look here too.
01:33 It's a really good looking SUV.
01:35 The back seat is really special,
01:39 and the passengers will feel really special back here too.
01:41 So, you can slide the seat forward and backwards
01:44 with the controls on the door.
01:45 There's ventilation and heating for the seats.
01:48 Oh, here, this is cool.
01:51 There is a cup cooler right here,
01:54 and it's really nice.
01:54 It'll keep your drink nice and cold.
