00:09 of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
00:11 Under Executive Order No. 44,
00:14 the No Hunger 2027 is one of the flagship programs
00:18 of the government that was started last July in Tondo.
00:22 It will continue until the middle of next year.
00:26 According to DSWD Undersecretary Eduardo Punay,
00:30 the data they get from the program is of great help,
00:34 especially when they address the primary needs of Filipino families.
00:38 The program has an allocation of P3,000 per family.
00:42 Half of it can be used to buy carbohydrates
00:46 like rice and bread,
00:48 while the rest can be used to buy food with protein,
00:52 fruits and vegetables.
00:53 Punay added that even though the amount is not that big,
00:57 DSWD is willing to not just leave the beneficiaries
01:01 in the program to be dependent.
01:03 The government has limited resources.
01:07 This is just a supplementary meal.
01:11 We only answer one meal per day in this program.
01:16 We cannot answer three meals in a day.
01:20 And we don't do that because that would
01:22 We have an anti-medicancy.
