00:14 She's a lovely woman, beautiful inside and out.
00:17 [FOREIGN]
00:24 Please welcome the one and the only, Nanette Medved.
00:28 [APPLAUSE]
00:36 >> Thank you.
00:37 >> Thank you for being here.
00:38 Thank you for being here.
00:39 >> Okay, sure.
00:40 >> [FOREIGN]
00:41 >> Thank you.
00:42 >> How are you?
00:44 >> I'm well.
00:45 I'm a little bit nervous because I didn't realize this was the format of your show.
00:49 So I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm good.
00:52 Thank you.
00:53 >> [FOREIGN]
01:03 >> And I am profoundly grateful.
01:07 >> [FOREIGN]
01:08 >> Thank you for having me, boy.
01:09 I'm so glad to join you on your birthday.
01:11 When Jojo Gavinete called me and he said, can you come for Joy's, for boy's birthday,
01:16 I said, absolutely.
01:17 I don't care what it is.
01:18 I'm gonna be there.
01:19 >> 23 years since you left the business, is there anything that you miss about show business?
01:26 >> It's this, it's the relationships.
01:28 I've had incredible relationships in show business, and unfortunately, my world is so different now that I don't get to interact with these wonderful friends of mine like you.
01:38 So I think I miss that the most.
01:40 >> Mm-hm.
01:41 What don't you miss about show business?
01:45 >> Oh, my goodness.
01:46 [FOREIGN]
01:49 Even before there was social media, the fake news was really all the intriga and everything, but I don't miss fake news.
01:57 >> Okay.
01:58 [FOREIGN]
02:01 >> Oh, my gosh.
02:02 I don't think I could ever have survived if it was today.
02:05 Like, I have such respect for celebrities, people who remain in the spotlight today because, oh, my gosh, I don't know how you manage the social media.
02:14 It's so scary.
02:15 >> We have to cope.
02:16 >> And the fans, I mean, the distance that you had with your fans before, although I can imagine that it's wonderful to have that closeness today, the distance of the fans allowed you to really appreciate -- when they come to you, they really appreciate you.
02:30 It's such a positive experience rather than today where it's 24/7 and you're getting a lot of the junk together with the positive stuff.
02:38 So we were super lucky during my time, but I have great respect for all the guys doing it now.
02:45 >> [FOREIGN]
02:48 >> [FOREIGN]
02:49 >> They've been blurred.
02:50 And, you know, you said it's a different thing now with the life that I have today.
02:54 [FOREIGN]
02:55 I mean, a lot of people, eavesdropping on this conversation would say, [FOREIGN]
03:01 I mean, can you give us an idea of how it is like?
03:04 >> Oh, my gosh.
03:05 It's so busy.
03:07 >> [FOREIGN]
03:08 >> It's very different.
03:11 Equally fulfilling.
03:13 Very busy, just like when you're in show business.
03:16 I do much more traveling now in my life now than I did when I was in show business.
03:22 But I think we're all doing important things.
03:25 Whether you're in show business or you're not, you're all kind of working on an important mission.
03:28 So it's not that much different.
