00:00 We have had a meeting here at the party headquarters.
00:04 A meeting that was called by the Secretary General of the party.
00:09 The agenda of the meeting among other things was a complaint that was forged by some of the members
00:18 indicating that the signatures that represented in this party were forged.
00:28 That was one of the agenda that we were supposed to come and discuss.
00:32 We have written to the DCI to request the DCI, because it is an investigative hub of the government,
00:42 to investigate whether the signatures were forged or not.
00:48 After that, the party requested that we proceed with the deliberations and we build a consensus among the two teams.
01:00 We therefore discussed so many things that were towards widening our democratic process.
01:08 Unfortunately, the meeting has ended in a stalemate.
01:12 But there is one thing I would want the members of the state to note.
01:17 The chair of the session put a question for voting.
01:23 Our starting orders allow us and give us the process of removing a leader from their assembly.
01:31 And therefore, the chair put the question for the members who are for the process to start afresh
01:38 and those who are against the process not to start afresh, we proceed with the process that had already started.
01:46 The members voted by lifting up their hands.
01:50 Our numbers were 27, their numbers were 26.
01:54 And at that point, that is where it was agreed that because the house is now fully divided into two,
02:02 that the national chair will proceed to brief His Excellency the President of what transpired in the meeting.
02:11 And therefore, she has requested that she will call for another meeting.
02:17 They can give us a proper way forward.
02:20 As at now, the meeting has ended in a stalemate.
