00:00 Rebecca Luce, the woman who claimed she had an affair with David Beckham, is slamming
00:05 the former soccer star in a new interview.
00:08 Rebecca, David's former assistant, who in 2004 alleged she was also the former pro-athlete's
00:14 mistress, is responding to how her claims were handled in David and Victoria Beckham's
00:20 docuseries, which dropped on Oct. 4.
00:23 The former model tells the Daily Mail in an interview published on Oct. 21, "It's all
00:29 poor me.
00:31 He needs to take responsibility.
00:32 He can say whatever he likes, of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve,
00:38 but he is portraying himself as the victim, and he's making me look like a liar, like
00:43 I've made up these stories."
00:46 She adds, "Yes, the stories were horrible, but they're true.
00:49 He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life, shutting it down.
00:54 I think it's one thing to keep your private life to yourself.
00:58 It's another thing to mislead the public."
01:00 Rebecca, who is now married with two kids, also says so many people put all this behind
01:06 them, this whole affair, the scandal and everything, and "He's dragged it back up again in a way
01:11 that is affecting my reputation."
01:14 The yoga teacher apologizes, sharing, "I was very sorry for what I had done and the way
01:19 I had handled it."
01:21 E! News has reached out to David's reps for comments and has not heard back.
01:25 In the series, David and Victoria Beckham reflect on the period of time when the soccer
01:30 star had transferred teams from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2003.
01:35 The following year, Rebecca gave a TV interview, claiming she and Beckham had an affair.
01:41 At the time, the soccer pro denied the claims in a statement.
01:44 Victoria Beckham broke her silence on the cheating allegations in the new doc, explaining
01:49 that the tabloid rumors took a toll on the couple.
01:52 "It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us.
01:59 And here's the thing, we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest.
02:04 You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else.
02:12 But we were together, we were connected, we had each other.
02:16 But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either.
02:21 And that's sad."
02:22 David also weighed in about the media circus.
02:25 "There was some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with.
02:39 It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in
02:47 our marriage."
02:47 The couple is set to return to the U.S. in early 2020.
