00:00 dug ourselves in an early hole, climbed out of it, and
00:03 then we didn't close the ball game out, and that's disappointing.
00:06 And we all share it, offense, defense, special teams, players, coaches,
00:10 we share in those wins, we share in those losses, so that's disappointing.
00:14 But I was obviously pleased with how we fought out of it, but
00:18 we can't turn the ball over, that's continuing to hurt us.
00:23 So we gotta find ways to not turn it over.
00:26 After early in the game, defense really settled in, but
00:31 ultimately just didn't get the job done, and it's frustrating.
00:33 But we'll learn from it, and then we're moving on and
00:37 get one at home next week without taking any questions.
00:40 >> Kevin, coming out of the timeout on the final drive,
00:43 you guys had run the ball well.
00:44 What was the thinking throwing the ball in that situation?
00:47 >> Yeah, obviously with the interception, with the outcome,
00:51 you're always thinking, what can you do differently?
00:55 We can't, we had options there, certainly you can run it,
00:59 certainly you can pass it, but the result was, that was tough.
01:06 >> We didn't see cuz the ball went off the helmet, but
01:08 what were you trying to get there?
01:09 What were you- >> It was a quick game play.
01:14 I have to look at it, but I mean, it was a quick play.
01:17 >> Why would Walker turn the ball over every game?
01:21 Why not put the game in your defense?
01:24 If you could stop it.
01:25 >> Yeah, definitely was a consideration.
01:28 There's gonna be plays that you want back.
01:32 Obviously, you're also looking to try to give your guys the best chance to go make
01:37 a play.
01:37 >> Can you just talk about,
01:40 PJ made some huge plays in the game, obviously, but also turned the ball over.
01:45 So can you just talk about sort of the ups and downs of the PJ experience?
01:48 >> Yeah, obviously some good moments, but
01:52 ultimately we gotta take better care of his football, he knows that.
01:57 But as a team, as an offense,
02:00 fought just didn't make it up plays at the end.
02:04 >> Kevin, you mentioned your defense went so well early.
02:06 What do you think went wrong on that last possession?
02:08 >> Yeah, I have to look at it.
02:10 They made a few plays, maybe didn't tackle great, but I'd have to look at it.
02:16 That's why I said, you know it's gonna be a close game.
02:18 You know it's the NFL, it's gonna be a close one.
02:21 It's just disappointing that we can't close it, or didn't close it.
02:24 But that's all of us.
02:25 >> And were there a lot of adjustments made?
02:27 I mean, they scored on the first two drives, or they touched on, and
02:29 then I think it's three points after that.
02:30 So what changed for that middle couple of quarters?
02:33 >> Yeah, it felt like we were staying ahead of the down, staying ahead of the chains,
02:37 and getting them into some longer third downs, I think was the key.
02:43 >> Well, how did you think the offensive line in particular handled the noise?
02:47 Remember they had two penalties?
02:48 >> Yeah, a couple penalties.
02:49 I can think of the one coming out of the halftime.
02:53 Yeah, I thought we practiced hard at it.
02:55 I thought the operation by and large was pretty good.
02:57 Had a couple different guys in there at times along the offensive line.
03:01 >> Kevin, does this feel like a missed opportunity,
03:03 considering the way your defense dominated for such a long point of play?
03:07 Considering the way you guys made plays and
03:10 made your factor points offensively in this environment?
03:13 >> Honestly, Jake, they're all disappointing.
03:15 They all sting, but bottom line is we'll share in it, and then we'll let it go.
03:22 >> You had a fourth and four, I think it was early in the fourth on the 40.
03:27 What went into the decision to punt there, given, I mean,
03:29 I know Dustin made a 50 yarder last week.
03:31 >> Yeah, defense was playing well, I think the second half,
03:34 like we talked about, so that's what I thought.
03:37 >> Did you get an explanation on what Najoku thought was a catch on that second
03:41 interception?
03:44 >> The one thing, and I don't know what was exact,
03:47 I didn't see the great replay shot of it, but they did make note that if the first
03:51 touch is on the ball, that's gonna rule it down.
03:54 So you can't, person's on the ground,
03:56 you can't knock the ball out cuz once you touch the ball, he's down.
03:58 >> Well, did you call timeout to discuss that play or to just-
04:03 >> Yeah, I mean,
04:04 we talked about a bunch of different options there.
04:06 >> It looked like Zidari's going in for x-rays.
04:11 Do you know what's going on with him?
04:12 >> I don't, not yet.
04:14 >> And DeJuan?
04:15 >> Shoulder injury, we'll get MRI tomorrow.
04:18 >> Kevin, is there anything that you can say about DeSean Watson's chances of
04:23 practicing this week, trying to come back this week for
04:25 your home game against the Cardinals?
04:26 >> Yeah, we'll see.
04:27 Mary Kay, he's fighting like crazy.
04:29 He'll be back when he's ready.
04:31 >> Good?
04:33 >> Okay, thanks guys.
