00:00 We'll be looking ahead to the King's Speech, which is obviously going to be a big occasion,
00:07 not least because it's the first King's Speech in 70-odd years.
00:11 But before we do that, it's worth taking a moment to look back on what we've achieved
00:14 in the last parliamentary session.
00:17 And it really has been quite remarkable.
00:19 Over 18 months, we have passed 39 different pieces of legislation, including almost -- or
00:25 not including -- on top of almost 1,000 further smaller bits of legislation in the form of
00:29 statutory instruments.
00:31 So by any measure, that's a fantastic achievement and really delivering on our five priorities.
00:36 When it comes to making progress on stopping the boats, we've got our landmark illegal
00:40 immigration act that is now law and will help us build on the progress we've made.
00:45 We are also growing the economy, seizing the opportunities of Brexit with our retained
00:49 EU law bill, which is allowing us to strip away some of the EU red tape that's holding
00:54 our businesses back.
00:56 And we've also been able to pass truly important pieces of legislation, like the Online Safety
01:01 Act to keep our children safe when they're on the internet, and the Northern Ireland
01:05 Troublesome Reconciliation Bill, which will make a big difference.
01:09 So it was by any measure a historic session that will have a big impact.
01:14 But we're not stopping there.
01:15 We will keep demonstrating to the country that we are ambitious for what we want to
01:19 achieve.
01:20 And in the new session, we'll see a range of bills that will deliver on what we want
01:25 to do, and that's going to be to grow the economy, to strengthen society, and to keep
01:29 people safe.
