Mercedes -AMG GT2 Pro was released for wealthy motorsport enthusiasts who want to hit the track. But not necessarily those who want to go racing. Prices start from the equivalent of $509,545 (479,000 Euros).
The Pro uses the current Mercedes-AMG GT2 as a starting point. The new version features the Push2Pass system, which temporarily increases the power of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine to 739 hp (551 kilowatts) during normal driving, compared to the standard 697 hp (520 kW). The sequential six-speed transmission has modified gear ratios.
The GT2 Pro also gets a set of four-way adjustable shock absorbers, while the current track machine uses three-way adjustable parts. Mercedes is changing the aerodynamics of the new model by adding larger end plates to the rear wing.
All GT2 Pros come with a matte gray body with turquoise stripes. The 18-inch wheels have a matching color scheme. The carbon fiber elements of the body acquire a shiny appearance. In the cabin, the finish on the center console gives it a bluish tint. Air conditioning keeps drivers comfortable during the track session. For safety, the vehicle is equipped with a carbon safety cell, five-point seat belt, safety nets, a fire extinguisher and a drain hatch in the roof.
Buyers also get a range of track-focused accessories. Puma supplies racing suits, gloves, shoes and even competition underwear just in case. There is also a Bell helmet in the Mercedes-AMG GT2 Pro design.
Mercedes offers a variety of options to customers looking for more comfort. The passenger safety cell means a second passenger can ride on the track. There is also a seat and helmet cooling and drinking system. Buyers can even get instructions from a member of the Mercedes-AMG Driver Pool.
Although the GT2 Pro is not race-spec as delivered, buyers can downgrade it to be competition-legal. Customers even get priority access to attend AMG Racing Series events.

The model did not have FIA homologation for competition, so the company upgraded the 6.3-litre V8 to 650 hp; this was about 100 hp more than the regular GT3. The company charged around $620,000 (625,000 euros) for them.
Mercedes likely has a high-performance, street-legal AMG GT on the horizon. In addition to the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, the Concept E Performance featured an electric motor at the rear axle. The automaker said the system's total output is over 800 hp.
