00:00 How gratifying to have such a dominant defensive performance and get that shut out for the first time in a million years here?
00:06 I think it feels great.
00:08 Had that shut out in a while, just like you said.
00:12 That was a perfect opportunity.
00:14 Bounce back game.
00:16 We hadn't been playing up to the standard that we've set on defense.
00:21 We took the challenge that Schwartz set for us.
00:26 We played with our hair on fire. Guys really responded.
00:30 Happy they did to level when they did.
00:32 How much were you thinking about the shutout? When did you start thinking about it?
00:36 Always thinking about the shutout.
00:38 You go into a game thinking they don't have to score.
00:42 We lived up to that.
00:44 They don't have to gain an inch.
00:47 If they get it, let's get a tear feather to take it all off the board.
00:52 We made a lot of negative plays. A lot of game-changing plays all across the board.
00:58 From the front end to the back end.
01:00 What did you think of the way your guys and your team were able to impact this game?
01:06 They both helped.
01:09 I came to name one of them because all of them had a piece in the pie.
01:13 Especially Davin, having been in the majority.
01:16 He's been working his butt off trying to do more for the team, for the defense.
01:24 He's going to step up and do his part.
01:27 It's got to wait for the opportunity.
01:30 Quarterback shoes are going to sound.
01:33 Once he steps up and he's in your grasp, make the most of it.
01:38 Make those plays that come to you.
01:41 We were stepping up out of pressure from us being on the edge.
01:47 They were winning over all of us inside.
01:49 That's what we asked them to do.
01:52 They had a hell of a day.
01:54 While considering the uncertainty of the last five weeks with DeSean,
01:57 is there a sense of relief in seeing him go out there and mostly look like himself?
02:01 Yeah.
02:02 I mean, don't expect a guy to look like Superman, especially come off an injury like he was.
02:09 Him getting back in the groove of things, him getting on the floor of the game,
02:14 making those deep passes, putting some of the money, getting out of the pocket,
02:20 just feeling like himself again.
02:22 That's definitely what we want to see, and he's only going to get better.
02:25 When you see that complimentary ball with all three bases,
02:28 now you've got the offense complimenting you guys too,
02:31 just how exciting is it to go out there and see it all come together like that?
02:36 I think that's what we preach and practice every day, playing as a singular unit,
02:43 everybody being in that flow state, and it all came together.
02:47 It didn't ask for a better outcome.
02:49 Miles, with that, though, how quickly do you have to really turn the page
02:53 because you're going to face a lot more difficult offense next week?
02:58 Give it the same amount if you were to lose a game.
03:01 Give that $48.
03:03 Give it a day to enjoy it.
03:05 Give it a day to break it down.
03:07 Next round.
03:09 Miles, thoughts on another shot at Lamar and that?
03:20 I mean, we're always excited for the next round.
03:22 They're so talented, so high-powered, and they have playmakers all over.
03:26 They want to run the ball.
03:29 They've got plenty of guys in every area that can,
03:32 but they also spread the offense out and check it down the field.
03:36 They're very versatile, and that's what makes the challenge so exciting
03:40 and makes you want to dominate on defense.
03:44 And they're looking to do the same thing because they have a powerful defense as well.
03:47 Miles, when you say that Drew Schwartz is going to be called out this week,
03:51 was that something specifically this week or just in general about you guys
03:54 playing back to their style?
03:56 No, he made it clear we've got to get back to ourselves,
03:59 and that was something he said when we got back from the building.
04:03 And he wasn't happy with none of us for it.
04:06 He wanted us to get back to what we've been doing.
04:10 And we knew we had been a little bit off course,
04:14 and I'm glad to get this one under our belt and get back on the right path.
04:19 What do you see now that play where you wind up with the fumble that Shelby caused?
04:24 It's true, I'm in my rush, and I'm thinking I'm getting a strip sack
04:27 because I see big old 93 slide through and hit the arm, the ball comes out.
04:33 I'm like, if I don't get this, am I going to take it to the house?
04:38 Scoop the ball out of the air, and all of a sudden my feet are in the air.
04:41 His elbow is tackling me and he's going to take something apart.
04:45 I'm just glad to get the ball and be a part of that hell of a play that Shelby created.
04:50 How nice was it to see that all the dogs got to eat today
04:53 and so many guys contributed to this victory?
04:56 That's what it's all about.
04:58 It's not just how one man showed.
05:00 It's not just the edge guys.
05:03 The guys who were premier, came from pre-agency, everyone kind of handed it.
05:09 Whether they've been out playing for a while or they came from somewhere else.
05:12 Some guys stepped up across the board, talking talk, getting shine.
05:16 Didn't tell, making plays.
05:18 All those guys who didn't get targeted but still keeping their man off the stat sheet.
05:24 You want to see a team ball like that where everyone feels like they made a difference.
05:29 That's how you continue to build camaraderie and you build a winning standard.
05:34 Myles Warren, what's it feel like when Corey pins the team back inside the five, down at the one?
05:41 When you're going out there as a defense, what's that feeling like?
05:44 That's huge.
05:46 It's almost like he made a score on the play himself.
05:49 Putting the defense inside the five and allowing us to go hunt.
05:53 Make negative plays, trying to put points on the board ourselves.
05:56 Keep them backed up so that the dolphins are in great position.
05:59 He flips the field and he had a hell of a day.
06:02 But nothing greater than what he did today.
06:05 Myles, when you see Deshaun play the way that he does, just athletic rip and absorb hits
06:11 and run around and improvise and all that kind of stuff, he's such a baller.
06:15 What does that fire you guys up to to see him out there playing like that?
06:19 He shows no fear.
06:21 He loves to play the game.
06:24 I feel like he's been playing the same way since he was a kid.
06:28 He doesn't care about any time.
06:30 He doesn't care about going down the field on his shoulder.
06:32 He's going to do all that because that's who he is.
06:34 He's just a football player to the fullest.
06:37 He's not just a quarterback.
06:39 He wants to make plays no matter what it takes.
06:41 He'll risk life and limb, but he wants to win.
06:45 Everyone has to be about that same mindset.
06:48 When he goes out there and does things like that, it inspires
06:51 and motivates us to do the same thing.
