00:03 Big win for the Cleveland Browns this afternoon
00:08 on their home soil, 27-0.
00:11 They pounded the Arizona Cardinals
00:14 in a game they really needed to get things right.
00:16 And there's so much to feel good about coming out of this game.
00:19 But in this particular little video,
00:21 we're going to focus on probably the most frustrating news
00:24 of the day, the injury report.
00:26 And it does not appear to be good for Jedrick Wills,
00:29 the team's starting left tackle.
00:32 Anthony, we don't know for sure.
00:34 I don't want to speculate.
00:35 Kevin Stefanski said in the press conference
00:37 that he did not have an official update
00:40 and that they would get some imaging on Jedrick's leg
00:43 tomorrow.
00:44 But anybody that saw the play happen in real time,
00:46 you saw the air cast on his leg as he was carted off the field.
00:50 And he was standing with that cast still on his leg
00:53 post-game on some crutches, waiting for some help
00:57 to leave the stadium.
00:58 It doesn't look good.
00:59 And so Cleveland is now faced with the probability
01:04 that they're going to be without both starting tackles,
01:07 at least for a while.
01:08 Now, how long, how bad is that injury?
01:11 We'll find out.
01:12 Let's cross our fingers that maybe it's not
01:14 as bad as where your head might initially go.
01:17 But the idea of Deshaun Watson being down Jack Conklin
01:20 and Jedrick Wills and having a starting right tackle right
01:23 now, DeJuan Jones playing with an injured shoulder,
01:27 that's not a great sign for Cleveland right now.
01:29 It doesn't make you feel good.
01:31 And your heart breaks for Jed too,
01:32 because it was like you felt that he
01:36 was starting to turn the corner and starting to play much
01:38 better.
01:39 He's been obviously the topic of much conversation
01:41 throughout Brown's media, because he's been very much so
01:45 up and down and really was drafted
01:47 to be that bookend, that piece, that Joe Thomas piece
01:51 on the left side and just hasn't come around to it yet.
01:54 He was starting to make that turn,
01:56 and your heart breaks for him, because you
01:58 could see it in his eyes.
01:59 He was crying, just really beat up on the cart,
02:02 leaving the field, and his heart breaks.
02:03 But it's that next man up thing.
02:06 That's the part about football, is
02:08 that when something like that does happen,
02:10 you got to be able to step up and have
02:12 some people come in behind it.
02:13 And you think of James Hudson III.
02:15 He's been-- feels like he's been a Brown for like ever.
02:18 I just think back to some of the big blocks that he had.
02:21 I think back to the COVID years when he was running in motion
02:24 across the line of scrimmage and blowing guys up.
02:26 Feels like he's been a Brown for a long time.
02:28 And you feel comfortable with him stepping in,
02:30 but we talk about depth and how important that is.
02:33 And it's really going to be tested.
02:35 You're going to have to dig deep,
02:37 sign some guys that are unfamiliar to all of us,
02:41 and find a way to just kind of patchwork this offensive line
02:43 to get it to a point that this team can continue
02:46 to make a playoff push.
02:48 But it is unfortunate what happened today.
02:50 Well, I mean, here's the other part.
02:52 You've got an offensive lineman in Nick Harris
02:54 that's been playing fullback.
02:55 So maybe you need to make a change there.
02:58 Not that Nick Harris has done a poor job at fullback,
03:00 but maybe it's time to put him back on the offensive line.
03:04 And I'm sure that's going to be part of the conversation.
03:07 Whether they ultimately do that or not, we'll find out.
03:09 But I'm sure that's part of the natural thought process.
03:13 And then obviously, the Browns also lost today Marquise
03:17 Goodwin, who is in concussion protocol.
03:20 We were not given a diagnosis whether or not
03:23 that was a confirmed concussion, both in-game that no diagnosis
03:30 came.
03:31 And then I asked Coach Stefanski in the press conference
03:33 if he had an update on Goodwin, and he
03:35 said he's still in protocol.
03:36 So a wide receiver room that traded away Donovan Peoples
03:41 Jones and probably gave some additional opportunities
03:46 to guys like Goodwin and Cedric Tillman.
03:49 Goodwin gets hurt today.
03:50 Tillman saw a lot of time on the field, only had one target,
03:53 and one catch on a little short screen pass.
03:57 On one hand, if Goodwin can't continue
04:00 to play if he's dealing with a concussion, on one hand,
04:03 you sit there and say, gee, that's not good,
04:05 because you don't want to hurt depth.
04:08 But here we are eight games into the season,
04:10 and the only two receivers that have caught touchdown passes
04:17 are Amari Cooper and I guess technically a tight end, David
04:19 Ndjoku.
04:21 None of the other receivers have caught a touchdown yet.
04:23 So you got to get David Bell healthy, right?
04:26 He was not available today.
04:29 The Browns are a little banged up right now.
04:30 They're not as banged up as Arizona,
04:32 who has more players on injured reserve
04:34 than any other team in football.
04:36 And they lost to a knee injury Will Hernandez
04:39 on the offensive line and to an ankle injury DJ Humphreys
04:42 on the offensive line.
04:45 I think they're going to get Kyler Murray back next week,
04:47 because he's got to come off the putt list.
04:49 But from Cleveland's perspective,
04:52 it was a tough day to lose those two guys for sure.
04:54 Yeah, and again, you feel for Marquise Goodwin, too,
04:57 because it just feels like he's so close,
04:59 and he's been so close, and he's running around the field.
05:01 He's wide open sometimes, and you just
05:03 can't seem to get him the football.
05:04 You think back to even week one, where
05:06 he was running down the field and DeSean
05:07 missed him a little bit.
05:08 Would have been a huge touchdown against Cincinnati.
05:10 They just haven't been able to really mesh.
05:12 And again, today, right decision.
05:14 Coach Stefanski talked about it in the postgame presser
05:17 to send one down the middle of the field.
05:19 The defender made a really good play,
05:20 and he took a big shot on it, unfortunately.
05:22 And you hope that it's nothing too, too serious.
05:25 But this wide receiver room is kind of concerning,
05:28 if you will.
05:29 Obviously, Amari Cooper, in my opinion,
05:30 Amari Cooper is one of the top 10,
05:33 definitely, receivers in all of the national football league.
05:36 He's so dependable.
05:37 We saw today he's got speed, and he can run past guys,
05:40 and he catches everything.
05:42 That's one of your favorites.
05:43 But then it's like, after that, Elijah Moore's still
05:45 a big question mark.
05:46 He hasn't been able to get in sync with DeSean Watson.
05:49 David Bell and Cedric Tillman are your next guys up now.
05:51 You really don't know what either of those guys are.
05:53 So it's unfortunate.
05:55 But Stefanski's been very good at kind of just getting
05:59 production out of whoever's on the field.
06:01 Whatever 11 guys are healthy to get on the field,
06:03 he finds ways to move the football
06:05 and try to punch it in the end zone.
06:06 And I'm confident that he'll continue to do that.
06:09 I would imagine that Kevin will give us the latest tomorrow
06:12 when he normally does a Zoom call with the media on Mondays.
06:17 And hopefully, we'll have some injury updates
06:19 to share with you tomorrow.
