00:00 There is no denying the issues that the Texas A&M football team is facing at the moment.
00:04 After his third loss in four games, Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher is running out of chances.
00:10 Fisher was hired in 2018 with the hopes of bringing this Aggies program back
00:15 to a national championship level. In year six with Fisher at the helm,
00:19 A&M is now 5-4 and 3-3 in SEC play. After Saturday's 38-35 loss to Ole Miss,
00:27 things began to feel different than just a regular season loss.
00:30 With a win over the Rebels, the Aggies would have been bowl eligible, have a win over a top 10 team,
00:37 and would head into the last few games of the season with some major momentum.
00:41 But due to a last-second heartbreaking blocked field goal, the Aggies now have lost eight
00:47 straight road games as well as their third game in four outings. Yes, there are still three games
00:53 left in the season, but this is yet another failed season that started with star players
00:58 and high expectations. There is now no one left to blame but Fisher. Fisher has now had more than
01:06 half a decade to get this program back, and so far a 10-win season has not even occurred.
01:12 As the eighth highest paid coach in the country earning $94.5 million, the best season in Fisher's
01:20 tenure in college station was a 9-1 record and finishing fifth in the final CFP polls and an
01:27 Orange Bowl win. While being done with Fisher might seem like the obvious answer, in order to do so,
01:32 A&M will have to pay him a massive buyout of $76.8 million. But if the Aggies can wait to fire Fisher
01:40 until 2024, that buyout number goes down to $67.55 million. With Mississippi State, Abilene Christian,
01:49 and LSU left on the 2023 schedule, this now feels like a matter of when and not if the decision to
01:55 get rid of Fisher starts to become a reality instead of a discussion. From all Aggies,
