00:40 On Monday, the UN World Food Programme warns that more than 1.6 million children under the
00:46 age of five are at risk from malnutrition in South Sudan in 2024, mainly due to the
00:51 effects of flooding.
00:52 Hello, welcome to From the South.
01:00 I'm Ana Marrero from the TeleSUR headquarters in Caracas, Venezuela.
01:03 We'll begin with the news.
01:04 Stay with us.
01:05 Israel attacked the Nasser Medical Complex, which includes four hospitals.
01:32 The Nasser Children's Center, the Radices Oncology Center, the Ophthalmology Hospital,
01:38 and the Mental Health Hospital.
01:39 As a result, several citizens were killed and dozens were injured, including children
01:44 suffering from cancer.
01:46 The authorities denounced that the children destroyed food source and solar energy systems
01:51 in the complex, where several ambulances and civilian cars surrounding the hospital were
01:55 destroyed.
01:56 The doctors screamed out, "Irritate for children who have been most affected since Israel began
02:01 targeting the Gaza Strip."
02:13 In the Nasser Hospital in Qaniyouni City, Gaza Strip correspondent Mohamed Al-Safi witnesses
02:18 heartbreaking scenes as wounded arrive.
02:20 Terrorist Zionist Bambin Al-Safi captured with his camera the arrival of ambulances
02:25 with bodies of wounded or dead children.
02:27 Terrorists tried their best to save the lives of the wounded with what they have available.
02:32 Ames Tears and Desperation Health Personnel provide first aid.
02:36 These images have become a daily occurrence in the face of Israeli genocide against the
02:40 Palestinian people.
02:42 Those that survived the relentless attack have but one question, "Where are their loved
02:47 ones?"
02:48 On Monday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian
02:59 conflict as he warns that the bombardment of Gaza Strip was becoming a graveyard for
03:04 children.
03:05 "Gaza is becoming a graveyard for children.
03:09 Hundreds of girls and boys are reportedly being killed or injured every day.
03:16 More journalists have reportedly been killed over a four-week period than in any conflict
03:22 in at least three decades.
03:25 More United Nations aid workers have been killed than in any comparable period in the
03:30 history of our organization.
03:33 I salute all those who continue their life-saving work despite the overwhelming challenges and
03:39 risks.
03:41 Nothing can justify the deliberate torture, killing, injuring and kidnapping of civilians.
03:50 The protection of civilians must be paramount.
03:55 I am deeply concerned about clear violations of international humanitarian law that we
03:59 are witnessing.
04:01 Let me be clear, no party to an armed conflict is above international humanitarian law."
04:07 Palestinian Premier Mohammed Tayyib cried while reviewing the conditions of the people
04:13 in Gaza during his opening speech at the Palestinian Cabinet meeting on Tuesday in the West Bank
04:18 city of Ramallah.
04:19 "Children write their names on their bodies so that their bodies can be identified.
04:25 The mother of the three children who were buried under the rubble tells her children,
04:30 'Let me see you even in a dream.'
04:32 Thousands of children are losing their lives and in the world they are preparing to celebrate
04:39 International Children's Day.
04:42 I call on the United Nations to cancel this celebration and publish pictures of the Palestinian
04:47 children who were absent from their schools and kindergartens due to the Israeli killing
04:53 machine."
04:54 The Israeli Minister of Heritage was not satisfied with 10,000 martyrs, more than 25,000 wounded
05:19 and a million displaced people who wanted to see Hiroshima in Gaza, who wanted to see
05:29 genocide accomplished with the nuclear bombs Israel possesses.
05:33 This bloodthirsty person wants to kill for the purpose of killing.
05:37 Another night in the Gaza Strip, which means another night of fear for the Palestinians.
05:42 Israel continues to shield Palestine with white phosphorus and internationally banned
05:48 weapons.
05:49 From Gaza, our correspondent Noura Harrison updates us on the situation there.
05:54 When the daylight is gone it means another horrific night for the people of Gaza.
05:59 The people here are afraid of the night.
06:01 Why?
06:02 Because of several reasons.
06:03 First of all, the Israeli warplanes intensify its bombardment and airstrikes on the Gaza
06:09 Strip during the night.
06:11 Secondly, they shower the Gaza Strip with phosphor bombs, especially at night.
06:16 Phosphor bombs are known for their very strong smell, very much like several tear gas bombs.
06:24 These bombs actually offer the Israeli warplanes good lightning in the Gaza Strip, especially
06:30 that there is no electricity here in Gaza.
06:33 At the same time, the fireball from the white phosphor bombs can easily set fire to any
06:39 home it lands on.
06:42 For now and over the past hours, the Israeli warplanes have been striking Palestinian residential
06:49 homes also around the Andonissian Hospital in northern Gaza, around the Al-Quds Hospital
06:55 in Tal El Hawa neighborhood in central Gaza.
06:58 And actually, the last time we talked to a paramedic that came from Al-Quds Hospital,
07:04 this morning he said that now all the roads, all the streets towards the Al-Quds Hospital
07:11 are now totally closed, which means that there is more than 14,000 people who fled their
07:18 homes and now they are taking shelter inside the Al-Quds Hospital, adding to this number
07:23 around 400 people of patients that are staying inside the Al-Quds Hospital.
07:28 These people are now disconnected from the Gaza Strip.
07:31 The food and the water they have would barely last for two days.
07:36 However, they refused to evacuate the hospital.
07:40 The doctors, the nurses, even the patients and the people who are taking shelter, they
07:45 are refusing to leave the hospital.
