00:00 Hi there, Xavier Mardling from the Border Mail. I'm joined by netball writer Georgia
00:06 Smith. Georgia, how are you going?
00:08 Good thanks, Xav.
00:09 Here to discuss the top 20 Ovens and Murray netballers for 2023. How did you go putting
00:16 this list together? Difficult task?
00:18 Yes, yes, it was a very difficult task. I went through a lot of drafts and I probably
00:23 underestimated how hard it was going to be. I've changed my mind a fair few times.
00:29 Also got a bit of help from our photographer James Wiltshire, who some may not know, he's
00:35 a bit of a netball expert himself.
00:37 He's a big Jim from Burrumbuddy. He definitely enjoys the netball. Who have you settled on?
00:44 Number one.
00:45 Number one, we've gone for the three-time Tony Wilson medalist Sophie Henrahan.
00:51 Good Korean girl.
00:52 Yes, I think she had an outstanding season and obviously her experience in the BNL and
00:57 the Australian Netball Championships this season too has probably just taken her to
01:01 another level. So, very good season for Sophie.
01:04 Very good. And obviously any list that's going to cause debate. So, am I right in saying
01:11 there's about 100 netballers who are equal 21st?
01:13 Yes, we'll go with that.
01:16 Alright, well we look forward to your feedback. Hopefully you enjoy it. And yeah, direct all
01:23 inquiries to Georgia.
01:24 Thanks.
