00:05 This is a convergence of a few cars.
00:07 Cadillac has planned to combine the STS and DTS sedan
00:11 into one big new flagship.
00:13 This car is called the XTS.
00:14 It's a concept, but it's a good preview of what we'll be
00:17 getting within a year.
00:19 General Motors has the fully developed plug-in hybrid power
00:23 plant that was supposed to go into the Saturn Vue.
00:26 But of course, it's not going to be.
00:28 So instead, it goes in the Cadillac, which, because of
00:31 its price, will be able to absorb the costs of a hybrid
00:35 much better.
00:36 The styling is the latest iteration of the art and
00:40 science look, with a very swept kind of look to the
00:43 exterior, making it more of a fastback type of four-door.
00:48 The car is big.
00:49 It's an inch longer than a Cadillac Escalade.
00:52 And it's wider and taller than a Cadillac STS.
00:56 So it's got a lot of interior space.
00:58 This car also extends Cadillac's platinum sub-brand.
01:02 It's got a nicer interior, high-level appointments, a
01:06 little bit extra bling and zoop.
01:09 Cadillac also announced that each and every one of its
01:11 models will fall into either one of two sub-brands.
01:14 You'll be able to get either a platinum version or a V
01:18 version of its various cars.
01:20 The XTS, of course, will come in a platinum version.
01:23 Whereas the CTS already is in the V series version.
01:26 And eventually, we'll get the high-performance V series
01:30 variant of its upcoming 3 Series competitor, a smaller
01:35 rear-drive car than the CTS.
