00:00 The West Coast has been the wet
00:02 coast over the past 10 days.
00:04 In fact, cities like Seattle and Portland.
00:06 You can see the areas of red,
00:08 orange and yellow.
00:09 They've had about a month's worth of
00:12 rain in just the last 10 days alone.
00:14 Now as for today,
00:15 a few showers still left across I5.
00:18 Not too many though.
00:19 We will see a few raindrops and a
00:21 couple snowflakes into the higher
00:23 elevations of the northern Rockies,
00:25 though it's a cool day in Spokane at
00:27 44 degrees 47 in Helena, MT.
00:29 At least you get a little sunshine.
00:31 Boise still a few showers left around.
00:33 We're in the 50s today as well
00:35 as in Portland and Seattle.
00:37 Now as we look into the weekend,
00:39 we do still have a few storms on the way.
00:41 Let's get through what's
00:42 already on satellite and radar.
00:44 You can see the clouds and again a
00:46 few snow showers moving through the
00:47 Bitterroot Range and the Lewis
00:49 Range of Idaho and Montana.
00:50 That's where we'll see snow
00:52 in the highest elevations.
00:53 Really, that's the gist of it today.
00:54 Other than that,
00:55 it's not exciting in terms of
00:57 the rain ahead for your Friday,
00:59 but the weekend got another storm on tap.
01:01 This one's not a blockbuster.
01:02 It's quite similar to what we just saw.
01:05 And that there's some moisture
01:06 leftover enough to bring some
01:08 showers to Seattle on Saturday
01:09 and then Sunday a quick second
01:11 to dry out. However,
01:12 there's another storm on the way
01:13 as we start this coming week.
01:15 You can see Seattle on Monday once
01:17 again in the 50s and rainy.
01:19 Let's go through this parade of storms.
01:21 It's like the parade that nobody wants.
01:23 The storm that's already moving
01:24 across the US here across the Rockies.
01:26 You can see it here on the far
01:28 right of the map.
01:29 Then we move to the storm that's
01:31 moving in for the weekend.
01:32 Again, not a blockbuster.
01:33 There's some moisture.
01:34 You'll get some showers.
01:35 Highest elevations of the Cascades,
01:36 Olympics and the Rockies will get some snow,
01:39 but it's this storm that
01:40 we're really watching here.
01:41 You can see how robust this looks
01:43 on the infrared satellite right now,
01:45 and that's the storm that's coming into
01:47 the West Coast this coming week.
01:49 Now this storm could bring some
01:50 heavy rain along the coast.
01:52 The PNW will get some rain out of
01:54 this and some snow in the highest
01:56 elevations in the mountains,
01:56 but we are pointing our
01:58 fingers here at California.
01:59 It's not a slam dunk,
02:01 but there is a chance that we could
02:03 get some big time rain in spots.
02:05 Out of this system,
02:06 as well as some heavy mountain
02:07 snow back into the Sierra.
02:09 Gusty winds are a concern,
02:10 but in terms of fire activity,
02:12 despite the wind with all the moisture
02:14 that would suppress that activity,
02:16 you'll notice what happens in
02:17 our San Francisco Accuweather
02:18 exclusive forecast here as we
02:20 start the coming week Monday.
02:21 Mostly clouds,
02:22 but then that storm really digs
02:23 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
02:24 We bring in some rain.
02:26 Then on Thursday we bring back the
02:28 rainfall and temperatures fall again.
02:29 It's not a slam dunk in terms of
02:31 that super heavy rain throughout
02:32 the entirety of the Golden State,
02:34 but it does look like there will be at
02:35 least some moisture moving into California.
02:37 Even LA getting in on some showers
02:39 by the time we get to the middle
02:40 and end of the coming week.
