Texas Vs. TCU: Can the Longhorns Avoid the Trap Game?

00:08 And Bill, they're on the road this week and this is where things have been dicey for them in the past.

00:20 But I gotta tell you, I've seen this movie before, Bill.
00:23 And whether it's Texas Tech or TCU, Texas does have that November slip up,
00:29 it seems like, every year and then they fall just short of getting in the playoff.
00:34 Do you think that they can just at least handle their business this week?
00:37 I know Quinn Ewers is going to play. The total is on the high side, 54.5.

00:43 Yeah, I think we've all seen this movie in November.
00:45 So you're very cautious looking at Texas moving forward.
00:48 But getting Quinn Ewers back will be huge.
00:51 Malik Murphy handled backup duties the last two weeks.

00:55 They won last week in a game that we, you know, they escaped.
00:59 They escaped the Kansas State upset bid.
01:01 So one thing that works in their advantage this weekend,
01:04 I know the TCU-Texas series has been heated in Big 12 play
01:08 and even favored the Horned Frogs in a lot of instances.
01:11 But TCU is minus seven in the turnover ratio.
01:14 Texas can take that show on the road, not turn the ball over,
01:18 lean on Jonathan Brooks a little bit and Quinn Ewers doesn't show rust.
01:23 I don't see how they don't only win this game, but going through Iowa State,
01:27 Texas Tech, potential Big 12 championship game,
01:30 where I think that's going to be Oklahoma State.
01:32 Texas is going to be favored in all these games.
01:35 They're going to have a couple one-score games along the way.
01:38 They're two and one in that situation, Craig.
01:40 I can't believe I'm saying it. I'm trusting the Longhorns this weekend.
01:44 I think that Texas probably at the end of the season, Bill,
01:49 is going to face Oklahoma State as the five.
01:53 For the college football playoff, having to win with a chance to get in.
01:57 And by the way, OSU is playing good football.
01:58 They just beat Oklahoma.
01:59 So that's not a guarantee either.
