The Dallas Cowboys welcomed the New York Giants in AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon. These two teams played each other in the season opener back in September and both games had similar outcomes. The first matchup resulted in a 40-0 blowout for Dallas and the second matchup was just like the first one. Cowboys took this one 49-17.
Dallas outscored the Giants 28-0 in the first half. The first two quarters of this game combined with the four quarters of last game, the Cowboys have outscored the Giants 68-0.
The Cowboys offense started off slow but eventually got into rhythm late in the first quarter. WR CeeDee Lamb started things off by putting Dallas on the board with a 14-yard rushing touchdown, giving Dallas a 7-0 lead.
TE Jake Ferguson then added seven on the board and you could finally see Dallas take control of the game. With three minutes left in the half, WR Brandin Cooks scored a touchdown giving the Cowboys a 21-0 lead.
Dak Prescott rushed for a touchdown right before the half putting a dagger on New York, taking a 28-0 lead into the half.
Prescott’s halftime stats were impressive despite his one interception. He finished the half 18-of-24 for 239 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a 17 yard rushing TD.
The Cowboys office dominated the entire second half. Six different players scored touchdowns for Dallas, they had 640 total yards of offense led by wide receivers Brandin Cooks and CeeDee Lamb.
Cooks led with nine receptions for 173 yards and one touchdown.
Lamb added with 11 receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns. One of which was a rush touchdown.
Prescott finished the night 26-of-35 for 404 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.
Dallas will head to North Carolina to take on the Panthers next Sunday at noon.
